We stayed here for 3 nights during October. We chose the Machova because we had stayed there about 10 years ago and had enjoyed our stay then so we thought better the devil you know! As last time we were not disappointed. We were given a room on the 3rd floor which, because it was located on the corner of... More

The hotel is fine. The rooms are clean. We stayed three nights in a family room with four people. Our room was at the top floor and since heat rises and April was a warm month this year our room was quite warm during the day. The windows in the room are made into the ceiling so leaving the windows... More

It was good! In a good price, (65 euros by night for a three-bedroom apartment). In contrast to the other hotels in the "center" of Prague it has parking free (approximatelly 10-15 minutes by foot far from the hotel). Parking is very important for Prague because nowhere in the center you can park your car. It is in the center... More

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days during our visit in September 2014 I have seen review where people complained about the room size. We got a double room and the room was big enough for two people. Quality of the breakfast was ok. + Cheap + Staffs were friendly + Size of the room + Quiet location +... More

Machova hotel is located in a quiet street in part Vinohrady only 12 - 15 minutes walk form National Museum. Holel is located in a historic and very nice building. Rooms are large and clean. The disadvantage is small bathrooms. In the room is free wifi. Breakfast is very tasty. Hot and cold food, plenty of bread, hams, cheese, yogurt,... More

It's old building and not very beautiful inside, but rooms are clean and big. Breakfast is very easy, but enough to eat something before starting the day (it was enough for us and our children). People working in hotel are very nice and helpful. Hotel's parking is 1,9km away by car (because one direction streets) and about 10-15min on foot.... More

I needed an inexpensive place to stay for one evening for the Prague Half Marathon. The hotel rooms were comfortable and clean and the location of the hotel is in a quiet section of Prague. The staff was helpful and easy to work with. The internet was a problem (it wasn't while I was there!), but the staff noted that... More

I stayed here with my party of 23 in March 2014. The hotel was clean, warm and welcoming. It is very well located with only a 2 minute walk to the tram stop into town and a 5 minute walk to the Metro station. It is in a very quiet area. From the hotel to town takes a maximum of... More

Visited in party of 3 in August 2013. Had room on 4th floor, lift only goes to 3. A bit dated look, nothing fancy at all. Everything adequate though, toilet/bathroom in OK condition, TV worked, beds OK to sleep on, small fridge with mini-bar. No aircon, and the room was hot, but as it had windows and was high up... This is a small hotel with basic accomodation in a quiet residential area. It has few advantages, price, location - you can even walk by foot to the centre (20-30 mins), breakfast. Additionally, hotal is located close to very nice park and terrace overlooking wine trees and a city (not the old one unfortunately). We also witnessed a Czech wedding... More

Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighborhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighborhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
