A pleasant functional hotel, approx. 15 mins walk from Wenclesas Square and 30 mins walk to old town square. Hotel is very clean and rooms and bedding immaculate. Breakfast was good and the staff pleasant and helpful. Only downside for me was that the Hotel bar was not open during our stay. this was a trifle inconvenient.

the hotel is in an old building. the bathrooms are very small in the triple rooms. the breakfast was ok. the nearest paid parking is at 2 km away, but you can park near the hotel for small periods of time.

Nice, cosy, quiet hotel suitable for families (I was travelling with 2 girls 11 and 9,my husband and my parents), breakfast basic but fine. No Wifi on the 4th floor, staff nice but my impression "please don't disturb me!" Car park not far away from the hotel, walking distance, plenty of nice not very expensive restaurants around the hotel. If you take a map... More

Enjoyed a very good 3 night stay. The hotel is very much old world, you even leave your key at the front desk when you leave. Some variety in the rooms (I had a double which means two narrow twin beds), but found the room functional with a fairly sizable bathroom. The hotel also offers a breakfast each morning. I... More

We stayed here for 3 nights during October. We chose the Machova because we had stayed there about 10 years ago and had enjoyed our stay then so we thought better the devil you know! As last time we were not disappointed. We were given a room on the 3rd floor which, because it was located on the corner of... More

The hotel is fine. The rooms are clean. We stayed three nights in a family room with four people. Our room was at the top floor and since heat rises and April was a warm month this year our room was quite warm during the day. The windows in the room are made into the ceiling so leaving the windows... More

It was good! In a good price, (65 euros by night for a three-bedroom apartment). In contrast to the other hotels in the "center" of Prague it has parking free (approximatelly 10-15 minutes by foot far from the hotel). Parking is very important for Prague because nowhere in the center you can park your car. It is in the center... More

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days during our visit in September 2014 I have seen review where people complained about the room size. We got a double room and the room was big enough for two people. Quality of the breakfast was ok. + Cheap + Staffs were friendly + Size of the room + Quiet location +... More

Machova hotel is located in a quiet street in part Vinohrady only 12 - 15 minutes walk form National Museum. Holel is located in a historic and very nice building. Rooms are large and clean. The disadvantage is small bathrooms. In the room is free wifi. Breakfast is very tasty. Hot and cold food, plenty of bread, hams, cheese, yogurt,... More

Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighborhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighborhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
