This is my second time to stay at this hotel in 6 weeks. I really like it and apart from the steep walk up the hill, very steep, its perfect. Its small and friendly and the breakfast is very good. The staff remembered me when I returned which is always nice. The cafe is open to the public and hands... More

Myself and my partner have just returned from a 2 night short break to Prague, and we loved this hotel. It's spotless, full of character and history and in a very good location. If you're new to Prague there are basically two sides of the city separated by the Charles Bridge; the Castle side - where this hotel is, and... More

We have been here for Christmas holidays. Beautiful hotel, large nice room, very friendly staff, tasty breakfast, perfect located near the castle and Charles' bridge. Thank you so much, we will come back. Kamila and David

Myself and a friend stayed in this hotel for 4 nights while on a city break in Prague. The hotel is small but full of character, with beautiful rooms. We were lucky enough to have a room which we were told was the best room in the hotel - we had our own balcony with a beautiful view of the... More

There was a problem with my reservation at check-in, but it was resolved and the rest of my stay at Hotel The Golden Wheel was excellent. The room was clean. The staff was helpful. The location was perfect for me. I walked to most major tourist sites in Prague. There are bus and tram stops nearby for those who would... More

Our cab driver got completely lost going to this hotel. The walk up to this hotel in extreme, summer heat with our suitcases was difficult, we were greeted by the front desk staff with a much appreciated cold apple juice (we are writing this review from a July trip). The hotel was very charming and likely our favourite hotel during... More

Everything was great, the staff is very nice. A rose and chocolates were waiting in the room every day.. :-) The building and the rooms are fascinating and the location of the hotel is perfect! The best stay in Prage, I think.

We arrived in Prague via the Metro at 9 PM in 6C weather with no hotel. We walked around and found The Golden Wheel - it was the best hotel experience we had in our 2 week Euro trip. Beautiful new-meets-old style boutique hotel in a great location. Service was excellent and the staff accommodated a late check out when... More

An excellent hotel in every way. Great location on a pretty cobbled street between Charles Bridge and the castle. The interior is a great combination of old and new with artwork evident on every floor. Our room was large and comfortable with a beautiful, old, wooden ceiling and lots of little details to make us feel welcome. We had a... More

Just got back from a two-night stay at The Golden Wheel, and would highly recommend it to others considering a break in Prague. The hotel is in the beautiful Mala Strana area of Prague, and a short 10 minute walk from the Charles Bridge, which connects you to the Old Town. The location is peaceful and a short downhill walk... Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
