Hostel is located on one of the most beautiful streets. Prague Castle is only 2 minutes walk. All main attractions are within walking distance. I lived in the 4 bed room. It was clean and quite comfortable. Bathrooms and showers are clean and comfortable. Nice staff. Don't forget to take ear plugs they are useful in every hostel. If you... More

We booked onto a 10 bed dorm but when we arrived they had had some issues with the rooms so were able to put us in a 12 bed dorm, after some persuasion. Dorms were very spacious so bigger dorms were fine, also ours had two slightly separate rooms so you had some personal space etc. Showers were good and... More

The 2 of us stayed in a 6 person room without any problems. The staff were helpful and the laundry service was very convenient. It's very close to the castle and the Strahov monastery (awesome beer), and about a 15 minute walk from the Charles Bridge. Prague had lots of walking tours and there is one that picks you up... I had a wonderful time at this hostel. Great place to meet fellow travellers. The breakfast was really good. The staff were helpful and the rooms were really clean and comfortable. It was a little out of the city centre but only a 20 min walk or an easy tram ride away. Location is perfect for soaking up Prague views... More

The rooms were pretty spacious with handy lockers and a 24 hour reception. There was a lot of street noise as windows needed to be open due to the heat. A fan or air conditioning would have perhaps helped with this. The staff were friendly and happy to help with busses, trains, etc. and the location of the hostel was... More

I wanted to like this place, especially with the reviews that I saw but I felt that they were extremely dishonest about the room situation. We booked a 4 person room... assuming the room would have walls and four beds, like any regular room. When we got to the room it was essential the attic of the building, this would... More

Dear Kaitlin, thank you for your feedback. I´m very sorry you were unhappy with your room. You booked a 4bed dormitory with shared bathroom. And we advertise how many beds are in the bedroom. We offer also a 4bed private room which can be locked and nobody else can come in. Generally we have four 4bed dormitories. 2 of them... More

This hostel was clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. Less than five minutes away from the palace and a short fifteen minute walk to Charles bridge and the Old Town Square. The hostel itself is very welcoming and homely. The common room is great for a nice place to chill out and the kitchen is fully stocked and available... More

We visited Arpacay this month on our interrail trip around Europe. The hostel is situated fairly close to tram and train links which is handy, however you don't really need them because it's close to all the sights such as Prague castle and Charles bridge. The wifi was alright (if it connected). The bedrooms were really nice and clean, however... More

This hostel was clean and the room was really nicely decorated with comfortable beds and didn't have the same old bunk bed hostel look about it. It's in a really good location - bit of a walk up the hill and about a 20 minute walk into the old town across Charles Bridge, but right next to the Castle. Loads... More

If you are looking for a clean, modern, fashionable hostel with a reasonably good location (about 15-20 minute walk to old town) this is a highly recommended hostel. It is very good value at approx £11 per night, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Yet, the hostel lacked atmosphere and conversation amongst guests- creating an awkward atmosphere.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
