There were 10 of us split between 3 rooms - 2 rooms were together in their own area with a bathroom and the other room was on the floor below. The staff were friendly and always around to answer questions (I recommend ordering taxi's through them as they seem to be a lot cheaper!) They always have a stocked fridge... More

Excellent hostel for your trip to Prague, literally ten minutes by foot from the Castle and from Charles Bridge. Rooms are very clean with individual locker space and all en-suite. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hostel and free computer stations in the reception area. Nice common space with couches, tv, books and boardgames. Well-equipped kitchen, although between 7am and 12pm this... More

We were here as a group of 10 guys. The room was cheap and big. The location is very good. You get free WiFi in the Hostel. For 3€ you'll get a good breakfast. If you want a cheap place to stay, you should stay here.

The positives is that the location is good if you can manage the uphill climb and the many stairs. The staff are lovely and the price is good. The negatives is that my room was meant to be a 10 bed dorm, but another 4 bed dorm was connected to it, so it's really a 14 bed dorm, and there... More

I can only list positive things about Arpacay's hostel. The ambience is elegant yet laid back, the rooms are spotless and furnished with taste, the historic building has a lovely balcony overlooking a quiet cloister where you can lounge after a long day of sightseeing, the breakfast cost just a few euros and it's abundant and includes healthy options (natural... First of all - this hostel is old. I'm talking creaky wooden floors that wake you up at night when someone gets up. For someone who's used to staying in modern places - it was a bit unnerving to sleep here. The location wasn't that great. Sure, it's right next to the castle and the John Lennon Wall, but it... Dear Sophie, Thank you you have choosed our hostel for your stay in Prague. Yes, you are right our building is old - it was built in the16th century and the vast majority of our guests loves it. The building has charm and many historical details and I´m sorry you felt uncomfortable there. Our hostel is right bellow the Prague... More

I booked this hostel after reading all the great reviews and, whilst I can't disagree with the good reviews, there were a couple of negatives which I feel I need to mention. First of all, on check in we were told that the private room we had booked was not available on the first night. No explanation but we were... More

Dear Scott, Thank you very much for your stay and for your feedback. I´m personally very sorry you weren´t fully satisfied at our hostel. The restaurant Valoria above our hostel had a water accident and the room you have booked was unuseable for the first night of your stay. As our apology for the discomfort you have to switch the... The hostel seems like it's built in an old neighborhood, and the office is located on the second floor. There are also elevators to the different floors of the hostel. Location wise, the hostel seems to be located in an old neighborhood and is about a 20 minute walk away from the Prague city center. Taking a tram from Na... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
