First of all - this hostel is old. I'm talking creaky wooden floors that wake you up at night when someone gets up. For someone who's used to staying in modern places - it was a bit unnerving to sleep here. The location wasn't that great. Sure, it's right next to the castle and the John Lennon Wall, but it... Dear Sophie, Thank you you have choosed our hostel for your stay in Prague. Yes, you are right our building is old - it was built in the16th century and the vast majority of our guests loves it. The building has charm and many historical details and I´m sorry you felt uncomfortable there. Our hostel is right bellow the Prague... More

I booked this hostel after reading all the great reviews and, whilst I can't disagree with the good reviews, there were a couple of negatives which I feel I need to mention. First of all, on check in we were told that the private room we had booked was not available on the first night. No explanation but we were... More

Dear Scott, Thank you very much for your stay and for your feedback. I´m personally very sorry you weren´t fully satisfied at our hostel. The restaurant Valoria above our hostel had a water accident and the room you have booked was unuseable for the first night of your stay. As our apology for the discomfort you have to switch the... The hostel seems like it's built in an old neighborhood, and the office is located on the second floor. There are also elevators to the different floors of the hostel. Location wise, the hostel seems to be located in an old neighborhood and is about a 20 minute walk away from the Prague city center. Taking a tram from Na... More

I was there with my friends and I'm going to come back. We could use luggage room before check-in and also after check-out which was very useful for us. The rooms are perfect and clean. You will enjoy staying there.

I've stayed at some pretty shady places and this was certainly not one of them. the beds are clean, floors too, as well as bathrooms. the showers are marvelous and stay on and hot! coming from my last hostel this was a great relief since those had to be turned on every few seconds and the water temperature changed without... An absolutely lovely hostel. All staff members were very friendly and really helpful, the rooms were huge, lockers and locks provided. The bed was more comfortable than my own bed. The 3€ breakfast is definitely worth it, six different cereals, fruit, tea, bread and cold meats. Staff do your laundry for you for 6€ and can also stamp and send... More

This hostel is like a palace if you're a regular hostel goer (and like me, have seen a few bad ones) It was cheap, very clean, the staff were so friendly & kitchen was spot on! The whole place had a very homely feel to it. We stayed in a female dorm, which had a private bathroom for female use,... More

The staff and owners are welcoming. It's a short walk from the centre of Prague, and is excellent for travellers on a budget. The beds are amazing, as well as the showers. There is a kitchen and a lounge for the guests to use, as well as the place sits upon a well priced restaurant. Had a great time there,... More

The hostel is located in the "Lesser Town" about 2 minutes walk from the famous Prague Castle (the most stunning tbuilding in Prague in my opinion). Its a the top of a long hill which can be crippling after a long day sight seeing! The hostel shares its entrance with a bistro but is really easy to find and gain... More

Located moderately close to the very famous Charles Bridge in Prague, Czech Republic, this is one neat and affordable hostel/ hotel. The Breakfast is decent but not inclusive in the price. The reception does have a good lounge and you do get stuffs to snack up. The beds are neat as well. The radiators worked awesome in the winter ;).... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
