This hotel is fairly basic but provides everything that the visitor requires for a short visit. It is situated very close to the Old Town Square and yet is very quiet at night. I had a very nice room and bathroom which was spotlessly clean with a big, very comfortable bed. There was a good selection of food for breakfast... More

Positive - The hotel is in a very good location when accessing the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square on foot. Middle Ground -The rooms were much smaller than anticipated according to the pictures on the hotel website. Negative - The front desk staff was quite rude and when asked for suggestions and help in restaurant reservations and concert bookings,... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights just before Christmas. We booked via BA and were interested in the Christmas Markets. The hotel is ideally located near the old town where it is about five minutes from the Old Town Square and about ten minutes from Charles Bridge. Our room was spacious and clean and suited us well... We stayed at the Astoria Hotel mid December and thought it was lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we organised to have free tea/coffee facilities in our room (110). The room is on the 1st floor and was perfect. Upon arrival in the room we were very surprised at the size, two single beds and a large space... More

Although this hotel is a 4 star we were not that convinced. Although the staff were friendly and efficient (we got our room on arrival at 10.30am) customer service required a tweak. Whilst using the hotels hairdyer it short circuited and blew some of the hot element onto my wife. We immediately reported this to reception staff who checked the... More

I went to Prague in April 2013 with my cousin. We chose this hotel due to price/location. The room was clean and location amazing. Very close to all attractions. However, rooms were very very small. The two single beds took over most of the space! Breakfast not very exciting either. Not a lot of choices. Staff in general were polite.... More

My wife and I stayed at the Astoria hotel over Christmas this year. We enjoyed staying at the hotel. The room was in good and clean condition although it gave me a feeling of staying in the Travelodge in the UK. The sound insulation is great and the central heating is quiet and more than sufficient. We slept really well... More

It was my second visit of this hotel. Very good location. If You want to visit Prag centre I recommend. Hotel is close of Prašná gate , Naměstí republiky and Staroměstské naměstí. All those places are a few minuts walk from hotel. Breakfest is adequate for this hotel category .

We have just had a short break in Prague, what a beautiful city. The room was comfortable and warm with a small balcony, tastefully decorated maybe on small size but ok for the amount of time we spent in it We requested a room on a higher floor in case of noise - however there wasn't any . Brilliant choice... More

We were so glad to stay in this place - centrally located, this hotel was an easy walk to everything, and the staff were always helpful. Beds are comfortable, the water was hot, excellent breakfast and staff were always pleasant and helpful and there is a free wifi.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
