Stayed for a week in August with my wife and teenage son in 2 rooms. The Central is a really beautifully restored Art Nouveau building on Hybernska just outside the old town near the Powder Tower. Friendly efficient staff with excellent English. The restaurant does a very nice buffet breakfast until 11 weekdays and noon at the weekend. Food is... More

We arrived by train, and walked 5 mins to the hotel. It's just a couple of hundred meters from the Powder Tower and the Old City. Wenceslas Square is only 5-10 mins away too. The hotel itself is in a rather tired looking building in a very nondescript street, but inside its fine. It has quite a unique and eye... More

Superb hotel in a stylish building close to the Powder Tower and all the attractions of a lovely city. We had been travelling for a week and it was nice staying in a Hotel that offer’s this kind of service. Our room was spacious and had a nice view of an interior garden. Breakfast room could get a little overcrowded... More

Great hotel, this is my second stay. Took my mother and she loved it. Still find the doors to the rooms difficult to use! Also found that the staff were not as friendly as they were on the last stay. The hotel was a lot busier and we felt like not much attention could be given to all the guests.... More

Beautiful hotel in a stylish Art Noveau building close to the Powder Tower and all attractions of the Old Town. Spacious rooms, ours had a nice view in an interior garden, same view you could enjoy also from the splendid breakfast area. Breakfast room could get a little overcrowded in the morning, however you do not have to wait long... More

I booked this hotel after reading the TripAdvisor reviews, as usual, but I was still unprepared for how great it was! It truly was the perfect ("central") location for exploring Prague: easy road access, minutes walk to Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, the main train station (for trains & car rentals), subways and buses, great shopping in malls and smaller... If you like Art Nouveau, this hotel is for you. A real treasure, renovated to the very highest standard. OK the rooms are on the small and slightly basic side (6th floor rooms) but the public rooms are a tour de force ( as we say in Sussex....) Excellent town centre location close to the Powder Tower and the Old... More

We stayed here for a 3 day stopover before travelling on to Budapest for a River Cruise.wonderful hotel, close to everything, just a hop skip and jump to the Old Prague and all its magic. Across the road down a tiny little alleyway was the best restaurant/bar which quickly became our local.Staff could not do enough, breakfast was above and beyond your normal... More

We stayed for few nights here and everything went well. Our room didn't have a good view but it wasn't bothering us. Breakfast was good and staff were very friendly. The location is great and within walking distance of many sites within the old city.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
