Stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group from the UK. It is well situated overlooking the river and within easy walk to most of the interesting places. My room on the first floor was quite large and very comfortable. Quite a large bathroom which had a shower cubicle and a bath with a shower. However, the shower... More

I am currently staying at this hotel with a tour group. The room is spacious, but you can't enjoy it. The air conditioning is virtually nonexistent and the air is stagnant, heavy, and difficult to breathe. The buffet breakfast is adequate, but certainly nothing great. Wifi is free and does well enough for e-mail and some web searches. I did... More

Hotel in great location. In my opinion not a great 5 star. Room sufficent but air conditioning poor. I asked at reception if the temp could be lower than 18 degrees but was told no. Breakfast sufficent. Reception staff wore no uniform which I thought was too casual. Bellboy too slow and seemed unconcerned for customer service. All in all... More

Dirty, Old Hotel, Rude Staff, & No Air Condtioning. Room on July 8th is 90 degrees. Staff could care less. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Rooms are unbearable.. I will be moving hotels first thing in the morning.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and friends for three nights of a tour holiday. Consequently, I do not how much the rooms cost and we did not dine there by ourselves. The President Hotel is situated overlooking the River Vltava and we had a great view from our room, which was large, clean and comfortable. There was... More

Just recently I have stayed at President Hotel. My room was 414. It is a huge room with a massive bed. Mine was a short stay, but it would work great for people who visit Prague for a bit longer. The bathroom has both bathtub and a shower. Breakfast is good but not amazing. Staff nice and friendly. Concierge was... More

Great location and fantastic breakfast buffet. Staff were helpful and room clean and comfortable. I would skip a Thai massage from the spa. It was like a 3 year old rubbing your shoulders. Not Thai at all.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2015

We stayed in this hotel with a Trafalgar tour in early June for 3 nights. Our room was spacious and the amenities were adequate. The location is ideal for exploring Prague. Elevators required a room card to be activated. The halls had a funky smell. The beds were comfortable. The biggest problem was that our room was very warm and... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
