This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic, quiet, tucked-away location at the base of the hill up to the castle, and only a 10 minute slow walk from the Charles Bridge. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful, recommending places to visit and reputable tour companies. There was a good selection at breakfast each morning, and the food was... More

pros: Outstanding service by receptionists from tour registration to providing us with excellent recommendations and very accurate information about the city. Excellent and diverse breakfast cons: Due to bad WiFi signal in our room, we had to get down to the lobby whenever we needed the internet Due to the fact that the hotel is located in an old building... We were blown away by the friendliness of the staff; professional and charming at all times. The room was stunning; beautiful arched ceilings, largest bed I've ever seen in a hotel and we even had a gorgeous little dining suite. All the furniture is tastefully antique (don't touch the grandfather clock! So embarrassing when it wouldn't stop chiming!) the bathroom... More

This was the highest rated, most reasonably priced hotel on the Tripadvisor list for hotels in Prague. There was no recommendation, it was simply a case of reading through reviews and going with the ratings. We had already decided not to stay in a large hotel and wanted something smaller and more personal. This is where we managed to strike... More

we´ve just come back from Prague where we stayed three nights in this hotel. It is very well located, very close to the castle and fifteen minutes walking from the Staré Město square; rooms are nicely decorated, clean, cozy and very comfortable (we stayed in Alfons Mucha). Since it is a small hotel, staff gives personal treatment and makes sure... More

We stayed for a long weekend in this hotel, originally we booked another hotel but were rebooked to the "Green Grape" due to technical problems at the first hotel. In the end we are extremely thankful for these technical problems, because we enjoyed a small, quiet, yet very central, hotel with a fascinating interior from the 17th century and very... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in September. This hotel has a 4 star rating but it is definitely not more than a 2 to 3 star hotel. The hotel is quite small with only a few rooms. The room was very nice in an old world way but there was no air conditioning and it was very warm. I... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
