A little noisy before midnight but great location. Watch the sunrise on the bridge early in the morning. Have breakfast on the tables of the hotel is perfect. Everything is walking distance. The staff worked with us to park the car and have a great stay.

Dear Yardov, I thank you for this positive feedback. I am sorry for the noise, usually our Kampa Island is a quiet place. You visited us possibly during the Festival of French cuisine, which is held in July for one week on the square in front of the hotel. This festival is very popular not only among tourists, but also... More

My husband and I just got back from Prague, and we are so glad we stayed 2 nights at U Zlatych Nuzek. First, Olga at the front desk couldn't have been friendlier. She made us feel right at home explaining the ins and outs of the hotel. She also gave us a map and was available the entire weekend for... More

Attentive and friendly staff, delicious breakfast, peaceful location, great view of Charles Bridge and courtyard below with a walking path through a lovely adjacent park. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague.

Highly recommended. We (2 adults, 2 children) spent 3 nights at U Zlatych Nuzek. Location is unbeatable, just 20 steps from Karl's Bridge. Nice room, very clean and with enough space, even with a small dinning room and mini kitchen. Excellent service from Petr and the rest of the staff: all kind of touristic info, taxi arrangements, and especially a... More

Very pleasant stay, nice room in a good area. Prague is v. touristic, but this hotel is nicely located away from the more hectic crowds, though right underneath Charles' bridge. V. Pretty overlooking a pretty square, friendly staff, clean, large and pleasant room.

This was a nice place to stay, there was no elevator so having to go up 5 flights of stairs after walking around prague all day was a bit of a chore. They served a decent breakfast every morning, not as good as the places we stayed in salzburg or vienna. The restaurant was a great place to sit with... More

We were walking across the Charles Bridge toward the Little Quarter (Mala Strana) and heard music coming from the left side of the bridge just after the bridge reached land. We looked over the side and saw a man blowing bubbles for a young child who was happily breaking them. Just beyond, on the right, were outdoor tables and the... More

Notice we just eat in the restaurant. You can sit inside or outside. Located at an open space, we enjoyed eating the local cuisine ( the grilled duck is super). Plates are well filled and the service is ok. If you are lucky a jazz band is playing live music just in front of the pavement. Inside everything is very... More

We stayed two nights between Christmas and New Year. The hotel is quite small but the manager and restaurant staff were very friendly, which really makes a difference. Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
