We found this charming hotel to be most comfortable, one of the few places we stayed that actually had a lift, although it was one of the smallest lifts I have seen! The staff were very friendly, unlike most of the other hospitality staff in Prague. The friendly receptionist organised tickets for us to The Black Light Theatre, and seemed... More

The locality is ideally situated! Issued with towels that had holes in. We stayed for three days - rooms not serviced. Ons dark haired lady was very unfriendly, while a blond lady was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfasts have a good selection, but very cramped.

We chose the hotel based on the location (really close to all tourist atractions but still quiet) and on the decor, very old world like :) Nothing modern! The staff is very friendly, 24h reception, free ice. Nice breakfast, all is there. Small markets nearby offer wide selection of nighttime snacks and alcohols :) I would definitely recommend for a... A group five adults spent three nights at the hotel. Due to an airline strike we had to request an extra night's stay at short notice. The staff manged to accommodate us in three rooms at the hotel and arranged airport tranfer for us. My room on the 4th was spacious, clean and quiet. The front desk staff were always... More

I recently stayed 2 nights at Old Prague Hotel. Based on another trip advisor reive I prebooked my airport pickup through the hotel and it worked out perfectly! Much better price than a street taxi and the driver was friendly and pointed out sights to see and shared info about the city. While the single room is small (which I... More

We spent 5 nights at the Old Prague Hotel. It was very comfortable and the rooms were nice size.. The 24 hour front desk personnel were very helpful with suggestions. Being warm, we needed are Windows open (no AC), and the noise from the street was bad, but once we closed the window, instant quiet. This would have been a... More

The location was good and so as well the room. The breakfast was nice too. but we had a bad experience with the hotel's transfer service. We asked the receptionist to book a taxi for us to catch an early morning bus for the next day instead she booked us for their own transfer service. It turned out a very... More

We moved here from another hotel that was in a boring area, and the Old Prague Hotel is PERFECT: location, cost, amenities, service! You walk out the door and are immersed in Old Town, minutes from everything. The rooms are spacious, lovely, and spotless. The price can't be beat. And the people at the front desk and in the breakfast... More

Small shops near by to buy water, snack, beer etc. I had the only single room in the hotel, which was nice and clean, and tho' not very big but had lot of space to your stuff. Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel! Good breakfast! If... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
