My wife and I stayed here for four nights and were very satisfied with the hotel. The room was a decent size, clean, comfortable and had a nice bathroom. The breakfast was also nice and had most of what you expect to find at a good hotel buffet. The reception was also very polite and helpful, I particular they assisted... More

We had a 3 night break here in mid April 2013. The executive room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the decor very in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The bathrooms were a marble extravaganza! The location of this hotel is superb. We could walk to everything in a matter of minutes and if... More

I chose this hotel as my mates were into Art Deco. They were impressed with the hotel's restaurant, to say the least. Breakfast came with the room rates, and was always more than satisfactory. Note though that the decor of the restaurant attracts heaps of tourists, and it is difficult to get in for the lunch menu. The service is... More

As a couple used to staying in Premier Inns and Hilton's in UK we found this hotel to be pleasantly different. The attention to detail in the decor was a refreshing change and you could tell great effort had been put into all areas of the hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast on a morning was good... More

The Imperial hotel is two short blocks to Namesti Republicky, a main square that includes the must-see, art nouveau-styled Municipal House, the Powder Tower (gateway to the Old Town) and helpful tram connections. The decor is interesting though less elegant than the starker, true art deco feel of, say, the Hotel Britiannia in Lisbon, but it's cool! Our triple room... More

I arranged a surprise trip to Prague for my husband’s 50th Birthday. Neither of us had been before and choose the Art Deco Imperial, due to its wonderful interior design, which didn’t disappoint. I arranged for the hotel limousine to collect us from the hotel, which was an additional luxury but worth the small additional sum over a conventional taxi.... More

Unless you're a regular you'll probably end up like all the other tourists that are ferried in by the busload (literally) in a quite small rooms that pretends to be fancy with fake art-deco ornaments and furniture. Location is great though but staff treats everyone indifferent (not in a good sense) and what five star hotel charges you extra for... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your review of the property. The room décor reflects Czech cubism of the beginning of the 20th century, I hope you did expect original artifacts which would probably lack in comfort. Your stay dates back to November last year, but clients are not charged for extra coffee orders now (latte, cappuccino etc.). More

We planned a weekend trip to Prague with friends to include a business engagement for her the following Monday, purely fun for us. This meant that we'd arrive and leeve at different times so chose an hotel which could accommodate all our needs. The Art Deco was the one, central, stylish and able to locate us in adjacent rooms whilst... More

This is a great hotel if you like really efficient service. We asked to change rooms after our 1st night and were dealt with by friendly and professional staff. Incredibly and without prompt they left complimentary champagne and strawberries with a greeting card to mark my Husbands birthday, they must have spotted on his passport when checking in....?Breakfasts provided plenty... My husband and I just came back from a 3 night break in Prague. We stayed in this hotel and found it to be very good. On arrival we were offered to upgrade to an executive room for an extra 30 Euro per night. As we were not planning to spend much time in the hotel, we rejected the offer.... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
