While the exterior of the Art Deco Imperial Hotel, located minutes from Old Town and Wenceslas Square, is incredibly nondescript when compared to the stunning architecture and elaborate building facades on seemingly each and every block of Prague, the interior is a jewel. While our visit was in February/March when there were not hordes of tourists in town, the price... More

We thought Prague was supposed to be overrun by stag weekends etc. Prague was the only place that we have spent 4 days in but didn't see everything. Food a bit stodgy. Best city Break we have had anywhere in AEurope.

Just returned from 4 nights in a delux room at the Imperial. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff and good food, both breakfasts and dinner. We had a courtyard room view, which on reflection we'd rather have had a street view with trams and atmosphere. However it's February, so what's to see. The only slight negative and it's not major, was the... More

One of the nicest surprises of this recent trip was the Art Deco Imperial Hotel. From the minute I entered the front door I knew this was a special place. The doorway starts you out with some of the marvelous art deco tiles that adorn this hotel. The front desk warmly greeted me and gave me a warm, friendly welcome.... More

We would like to thank you and the rest of the staff at Art Deco Imperial Hotel for an overall p e r f e c t stay. We found out about the hotel on a visit to Prague last year, when we came in for breakfast at the café, and have fallen in love with the place on sight,... More

We read some reviews that said this place was a bit seedy. It isn't at all. Rooms not facing the street are quieter and ours was larger. Friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is excellent. The art deco feel is splendid.

Recently spent 3 nights at this hotel with my 20 year old daughter. On our first day we had lunch which one of the most amazing meals either of us had ever experienced, far exceeded London restaurants, celeb restaurants and even many Michelin star restaurants. Truly amazing, creative and exceptional food. Second day we had dinner, again food to die... More

I was staying in the hotel with collagues during a business trip and we had a wonderful time there. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The breakfast was really wide choice with fresh and tasty items. Locationwise right in the center with easy access to all major sights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Real 5* experience.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
