We went to the Imperial Hotel Aug 30th for 4 nights. Food was very good. Room clean and comfortable. Staff helpful. However, on checking out the receptionist handed us a bill for approx. £12 - which was for 4 bottles of water the maid put in our room in each morning. I have never been in a hotel that charged... Stayed here for three nights. We found it quite good. The location was very good. It was quiet but near the action. Hotel has been remodeled. Lovely interesting furniture in rooms. Large king beds that were comfortable. Bathrooms were marble with both a separate shower and a tub with a shower. Robes in the room. Rooms a bit small but... More

We have just returned from spending 4 nights in this beautiful hotel. We stayed in a deluxe room on the fourth floor (416) which was large with large windows and a massive very comfortable bed(we where going to upgrade but on seeing our room didn't see any point in doing so). Our room was at the front of the hotel... More

We stayed here for a week while touring through Prague and surrounding areas. It is a fabulous hotel and I would stay here on my next trip!! The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The concierge was most helpful and arranged for a wonderful driver for us for excursions into the countryside. Breakfasts were good and the hot stone massage was... More

We stayed at the Imperial as part of a tour group and were very impressed with the hotel, the service and the location. We upgraded to a business room, which I would recommend, and had a large room, king size bed, and large windows. Room was clean and staff were very competent and attentive. It is a 10 minute walk... We had a lovely stay here. Staff are professional, attentive, friendly. Based on other trip advisor reviews I made sure at check-in that we had a room with a view. We were upgraded to an executive room. The view was OK. Don't stay here for the views it has other assets to compensate. The hotel is located on the corner... More

Just returned from a 5 night stay at this hotel. Persuaded my partner that we should have a short break in the city on the basis of the hotel photos and reviews. We were not disappointed! Booked the basic (deluxe) room but on arrival were happy to be upsold to an executive room with more space, extra half bathroom, coffee... More

This hotel was outstanding. The decor is lovely, the beds were unbelievably comfortable, the rooms and all areas were impeccably clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. On top of all of this the location was perfect being close enough to get to Old Town Square fast and easily but far enough away so that one is not... More

This hotel is very central to all the sites in Prague and tourists will find it very comfortable as well. Good breakfast in the restaurant and the rooms are clean and very adequate for the average tourist. The bathroom is decorated in traditional style for the country and is kept very clean and ours was renovated. Staff very friendly. Good... More

I have stayed here for business. The hotel is located on a walking distance from the old town square and is easy to find. The rooms are not very large, but the level of comfort is high. Everything is kept very clean and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet is very lovely, everything is there. I have seen... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
