We very much enjoyed our stay in this luxurious hotel; wonderful decor, very comfortable bedrooms, efficient & courteous staff and a large choice at breakfast. Very handy for local trams & metro services. Would definitely return.

A superbly run hotel in an excellent location. The trams going past the front of the hotel do not present a sound problem. This is a city centre hotel with an occasional low rumble from the trams but very few cars, buses, or lorries and no horns. The rooms are double glazed and brilliantly appointed with everything required for a... More

Being our way to Hotel Axa, both during our visits to Prague in 2009 and 2015,we used to stop for a coffee/tea and nice pastry, usually an apfel strudel. Although the prices were a little higher than the normal restaurants, the art noveau building makes you feel cosy on rainy or cold days. Usually on Saturdays there is band to... More

We were a family and stayed there in August. The hotel is a beautiful, elegant and artistic hotel with good service, with a perfect hotel. Good: The service was very good, the staff are helpful and polite, and breakfast had good quality although it was not very diverse (tips: order omelette at the cafe). Don't miss the imperial restaurant; the... More

Loved this place and also love Prague. Both items are the "right size"! The service in the Imperial was professional and friendly. The room was very nice if a bit small and I would ask for one that was not facing the main road. The bar area was pleasant with a great and friendly bar tender. The breakfasts were incredible... This Hotel is extremely recommended, its well located and very beautiful. I would strongly recommend this hotel both for business and leisure. The staff is polite and helpful and the rooms are superb. Furthermore, the hotel restaurant/cafe on the ground floor is among the best in Prague and I would recommend you to pay a visit even if you are... More

This is a beautiful hotel within walking distance of the old town section. Room amenities were luxurious and always full. Service was friendly. Property restaurant excellent food. I was a solo traveler within a Danube Cruise group. I felt comfortable in the area. Shopping on the street. Streetcar runs in front of the hotel, very convenient. I was on the... More

Fantastic hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Restaurant was excellent, rooms very comfortable but the trams are a little noisy if your room overlooks the street. Would stay here again in future but perhaps look for a room at the back of the hotel.

This is a great hotel for the following reasons - the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Art Deco style of the hotel is very beautiful. We had breakfast each morning from their famous cafe and it was amazing! If you stay at the hotel, you must eat in the cafe at least once. Everywhere is very clean -... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
