We travelled with friends for a long weekend break looking forward to the hotel from the reviews. This did not disappoint. The friendly helpful happy staff did not disappoint from when we checked in to when we left they made our stay as pleasent as they could. The hotel is well situated and has been restored to a high standard... More

We stayed here 2 days in an executive type room. Great service and staff. The hotel is very clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast came with the room and was good. The hotel is fairly central to the old city. it is next to the Paladium and big shopping mall area.

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights and I can't believe how quickly we relaxed. The hotel is really beautiful and the staff are first rate. The restaurant is elegant, without being stuffy, and the food and wine are really impressive. We would have happily dined at the hotel throughout our stay but felt that we really ought... More

If travelling to Prague, this hotel is a must. You will be treated with warmth and courtesy from the moment you step in the door until the moment you leave by the excellent, well trained staff. Bedrooms are spacious, well equipped, tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. Buffet breakfast in the Imperial cafe has something to suit all tastes. Ditto lunch... More

We enjoyed a three night stay here in February 2015 as part of a BA package. Our room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. We also liked the fact that breakfast was served in the Art Deco cafe. The location of the hotel is convenient for sightseeing and overall we were happy with the... More

If you adore yesteryear sophistication of the Art Deco period then look no further, The Imperial has captured it in spades... Being a complete aficionado of this period, my home being a prime example, I was extremely interested to see just how 'period' a refurbished hotel would fair? Many have not, recently having afternoon tea in Madeira's most famous hotel,... More

We stayed at the Art Deco Imperial Hotel last August 2014, for three nights to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The hotel lived up to expectations. The location is superb, just a short walk to the centre of Prague and all of it's attractions. The refurbishment has worked well, still incorporating a lot of the original Art Deco features. The Café... More

We arrived at the Art Deco Imperial Hotel (via taxi from the airport) late at night at the end of December 2014. Not only was it on a quaint, charming street, central to Old Town Prague, but the hotel itself was welcoming with it's gorgeous art deco wood carved doors at the entryway. Once we checked in with the accomodating... More

Really good hotel in an art nouveau/ deco mix style. The rooms are very good, staff are friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, short walk into the old town. Breakfast is typical buffet. Cafe Imperial, the restaurant, has to be seen whether you stay there or not. The decor is spectacular. Food is also very good which makes a nice... More

This is an absolutely fantastic hotel, probably the best hotel that I have ever stayed in and that's no exaggeration. Words seriously don't do this hotel justice. I stayed here with my fiancé from 12th February until 15th February. On arriving at the hotel by taxi, the hotel porter was on hand to help us in with our bags and... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
