Unfortunately, our room was on the second floor in the front of the hotel. The afternoon sun played into the room and made it uncomfortably warm. The AC could only lower the temperature 4 degrees, by law according to the reception desk, which was not enough, so we asked that we be able to open the windows. (The windows had... More

The hotel is but a short walk to both the old and new towns which comprise downtown Prague. The room we occupied was a Deluxe room, featuring a king size double bed. The outlook was nothing to rave about; a building next door. The windows were double glazed, and opened to allow fresh air in. The room was not without... More

This hotel was awesome from the minute we walked inside! We were greeted with a smile, checked in and shown a room. Beautiful hotel and rooms were refurbished and beautiful. We were offered an upgrade (not needed) but took it to accommodate us and some friends we were traveling with for comfortable cocktails and cheese. By the way, cheese shop... More

Well positioned hotel with beautiful restaurant - if you like art deco then this is the hotel for you. Spent 3 nights there with friends, hotel is well maintained, only complaint was the room was small with no view and the bath is very high which made getting out the shower a perilous experience. The bar was also a disappointment... More

This hotel was recommended by travel agent with some good reviews from Tripadvisor. However this hotel is certainly not 5 star. When we arrived we were immediately asked whether we want to be upgraded at additional cost. We felt we were already paying well above average for this hotel. The hotel staff were reasonably friendly and the café breakfast provided... More

We spent 3 nights at the Art Deco Imperial hotel in April, 2015. The check in staff, porters, concierge and bar tenders were very efficient and helpful. The room, though a bit small, was quiet and clean, with heated bathroom floors. The dining room was terrific.

Very comfortable, elegant, very attentive personnel. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed. It has a great restaurant and it appears that the chef is a local TV celebrity. The hotel is very close to the old city and very interesting area.

Had a 3 night stay in Prague, lovely art deco hotel. Can easily imagine walking through in a flapper dress with cigarette in holder. Beautiful decor. The rooms were enormous, bathroom was extremely compact. Very nigh bath so would recommend you get a bath mat as a bit treacherous getting out of it. Other than that no complaints. A 5... More

We stayed here for a three day river cruise extension. Uniworld selected this hotel. Efficient check in, offered room upgrade for 30 Euro a night which we took.. Supposedly this gave us upgraded wifi, and larger room with sitting area. Our friend also upgraded but their room had slightly higher ceilings and larger bath with a tub and separate shower.... Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
