This proved an ideal base from which to explore Prague. We requested an airport transfer by email and our driver Martin met us at the departure gate. His english is very good so that during the drive he was able to give lots of useful advice on how to get around Prague (and I suspect he has several other languages... More

The hotel is located near the Astronomical Clock and Old Town Square in a beautiful small square with a lot of restaurants, not far away from Charles Bridge or Parizska Street (with all famous brands). My room was 320 (third floor) and it was located in the old historic wing of the hotel. And when I say old I mean... More

From the minute we arrived at the hotel we were treated with courtesy and consideration. Staff were clearly well-trained and took a pride in doing their jobs professionally. We had single rooms, which were small but clean and well-furnished. On my birthday, a bottle of champagne was chilling in my room on my return from our day out-a lovely gesture!... More

Hotel Rott is a charming hotel right off of the square in Prague where gadzillion people come to see the Astronomical Clock... near enough to join the crowds, but far enough to miss the noise! Lovely rooms, some a bit small, but mostly large enough... just check about what type of shower your room has... some have only the tub... More

Excellent location close to the very heart of Prague. Rooms were not large but perfectly adequate bearing in mind you're out for most of the day, otherwise they were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and appeared to cover what most nationalities would expect for this meal. The only downside for us was that the unseasonably warm weather in... More

Dear guests, thank you for your kind words about our hotel. Also, please accept our apologies regarding the air-conditioning system. During your staythere was a really nice and warm weather in Prague, but nights in this season are still very cold, often with temperatured around zero, and therefore the heating system has to be on. Unfortunately from the technical reasons... More

Recently stayed at the Hotel Rott which is situated in the old town, right in the heart of Prague. Actually the surrounding area is all pedestrianized with lots of historical buildings and quiet a number of restaurants and shops. The top floor hotel room was fantastic and clean with all the amenities one would expect from a 4 Star Hotel.... More

We stayed for 5 nights in this hotel which is literally minutes from The Old Town Square. We had asked for a quiet room, and were not disturbed by noise at all. The staff were charming and helpful. The room was basic but beds comfortable and bathroom clean with good sized shower. Plenty of clean towels when we wanted them.... More

Dear guests, thank you a lot for all your comments about our hotel, including those about the dust. I am glad most of facts were positive and you enjoyed your stay here. For the absebce of dusting and hoovering, I have unfortunately no other excuse than the amount of work the maids are currently having, which is certainly no excuse... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
