We have just spent a long weekend in Prague and stayed at the Metamorphis hotel on recommendation from some mates. The hotel is just of the old town square and surrounded by restaurants and bars. The hotel reception are friendly and very efficient. Its split over a number of buildings around a large square, with the breakfast in the large... More

Very comfortable rooms with tasteful decor and a bathroom the size of a Manhattan apartment. Excellent staff and service, and such a good deal for a 4-star hotel. Great location at one end of the courtyard behind Tyn Church. Huge breakfast in the adjoining restaurant - Vabene - only drawback was having to go outside to get to it. Our... More

We had great service from the staff at this hotel, all were polite and helpful. We had a very large room at the top of the hotel looking over the courtyard. The room was cleaned every day and we were also given fresh towels daily. The bathroom was modern and large with a nice powerful shower. The double bed was... More

Our room was spacious, impeccably decorated and clean. The location of the hotel is superb, right near the square and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The downside was the soundproofing of the hotel; we stayed for several nights and not one night did we have a good nights sleep as the surrounding bars play music until the early hours,... More

This place is great value! We booked their shuttle taxi from the airport at a very reasonable 30 EUR (paid in EUR or crowns) and were led to our room, which turned out to be a huge suite, with monster-sized bed, view of the square, windows on two sides, huge fireplace, sitting room with two sofa's, and a kitchen! Just... More

This hotel was in the best location you can find in Prague (in the Tyn courtyard right next to Old Town Square). The Hotel is beautiful and offers wi-fi and breakfast. The staff was helpful and the service from our experience was very good. I personally did not sleep well on the bed and the courtyard could be a little... More

We spent 2 nights here last weekend at the start of the Xmas markets. Hotel is great value for money, location was excellent and rooms were nice and big. Breakfast was great in the morning with plenty of choice. We had 2 rooms and only downside was our room was overlooking a side street which was quite noisy on both... More

Stayed here 4 nights; Location is superb, just a few minutes walk from old town square; room was lovely, enormous and very clean; staff all very helpful; its a bit of a shame you have to go around the corner to the restaurant to get your breakfast; it only takes a few minutes but it is a bit odd; however... Nice place, nice staff, clean and comfortable rooms. I'd recommend sticking with rooms that are facing the interior courtyard for sure, plenty of noise to be had on the main street. We actually purchased a "deluxe" room which all seemed to be in the other building facing the main street, but ended up choosing a regular room in the interior... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
