A bit of a challenge to find, but once there, the staff quickly ran ahead of my car to lead me into their inner courtyard to park my car. They have only a few spaces, and apparently don't reserve parking, but I was so glad to have it. Of course the location is about as central in the old city... More

I've stopped in this hotel now over 9 times over the years and to be honest I've never been disappointed. I think the rooms are lovely and great for a short brake. However it can be rather noisy if your room is on the back of the hotel due to a very noisy bar. It's a great bar to go... More

Stayed from 1st April to 3rd April 2015. We booked a "suite" which turned out to be an apartment with hallway, bathroom, kitchen area, dining area and then a separate and very large room with a comfortable seating area and 2 double beds. It would have been excellent for self catering if we had known. The location is superb, just... More

We chose this hotel because we read some very good reviews at TA. Maybe my expectations were to high, but it turned out to be a bit disappointing. Maybe because we ordered a suite and ended up with one of the smallest rooms they had. After complaining, we got a bottle of champagne and free transport to the airport. The... More

Once again Metamorphis offered a very pleasant stay in Prague. The room was very nicely decorated and offered lots of space. The room window offered a most beautiful view to the Ungelt square and Tyn cathedral. The toilet and shower were in separate closets. This may seem a bit impractical but was not in my experience. If something negative has... More

Eight of us stayed there in November 2014. Very nice place; in a courtyard and it's just off the main square itself. Excellent position. Breakfast is taken downstairs in the attached restaurant. Breakfast is fine. Plenty of bars nearby including a blues bar.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Metamorphis. The location was excellent as it is just behind the Old Town Square. Our suite was really large with a separate lounge area and dressing room. The bathroom was huge with a spa bath and shower which could fit five people in. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Easy walking distance of Charles... More

After reviewing several hotel, I booked with Metamorphis due to location and the other reviews. It was the place for us. Full service, parking for our car, wonderful breakfast each day, large comfy clean room, soft towels, full kitchen and eating area, full view of Tyn Church from our window and a nice large bath. We were in the best... More

This hotel is within walking distance of everything. It offers on site parking, behind locked doors in a courtyard that looks like it was the entrance to the stable, back in the day....huge gate door, all stone building. Our three person room was huge, nicely decorated and very clean. Front desk people were very helpful and very professional. Breakfast was... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
