It is a very nice pension in the very centre of Prague. Maybe it is not very luxurious, but it does not pretend to be. It's a nice and comfortable place, very close to the main railway station, Metro and Wenceslas Square. I give them 4 stars instead of 5 only because I found showers a bit too small, but... More

Me and my friend stayed at Church Pension Husuv Dum for six days. I had been there before and had decided to stay there again, because it was really nice. It is not expensive and you cannot expect it to be first class, but it has many advantages, like a kitchen everybody may use and a good breakfast. The people... More

We enjoyed our stay at the church pension, we arrived after the reception had closed but one of the staff greeted us, give us a map and told us a little about the area. The room was dated however the location made up for this. I would stay here again because of the location and the friendly staff.

I found the bed was extremely unconfortable, very noisy, extremely simple, it had a very poor feeling. Towels provided were a joke. It has a wonderful location tough and nice staff. It would be totally ok if it were cheaper, I believe for what I was paying I should have got much more, specially compared to other accommodation I had... More

We were very pleased with this accommodation selection for our short stay in Prague. Cute, comfortable and very clean. The shared bathroom was close by (clean with a decent sized shower) and we never had to wait to use it. The beds were typical European – a bit on the hard side for us wimpy North Americans. The lack of... More

My room was basic, did not expect much. On the whole, i just needed a place to sleep after a late night arrival and to be near the train stationIn the next morning. The host was very helpful and saved me some time searching for a currency exchange.

Great service and friendly staff. Very affordable and the location is great too. Could have been a little bit cleaner. The breakfast for 115 CZK was alright with everything you need. Yoghurt, juice, bread, ham, jam, cheese, coffie, the. If I come back to Prag I would stay here again.

A great place to spend a few nights and explore the city from if you are looking for no-frills, simple accommodation. Church Pension is ideally located to reach all the major attractions on foot. We were shown in by the doorman and got a warm, friendly welcome from the manager who explained everything in perfect English and showed us our... More

In 2009 I led a group of college students and stayed at this pension. This month I returned with my wife and colleagues. Nothing has changed! This Pension is clean and has affordable rooms. The location is ideal - a few blocks from the subway. However, the best aspect about this pension is the manager, Jaroslav. This Christian man went... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
