Our stay had a bumpy start due to a "mistake" in the booking of our room (we had booked more than 2 months in advance and the booking was several times confirmed). Two weeks before our arrival, the staff identified a double booking for the same room and therefore found an arrangement which was somehow Ok for us (we were... More

From the moment we arrived every singel person on the staff treated us with the greatest of respect. It was so adamant that we, as guests, were the most important rhing for them. Great restaurant with amazing food. The rooms were cozy and the whole expierience was very romantic and ideal for a couple in love.

What a charming hotel, beautiful rooms, and fantastic location! We were a big group of 10 people, had five rooms, each room is more beautiful than the other. This is a small hotel, only 17 rooms (I believe). The restaurants terraces have wow views. You see the entire city. The staff are the ultimate professionals. They make you truly feel... More

Our stay at the Golden Well was lovely, and I won't forget this hotel in a hurry! Firstly I would like to say how very friendly the staff are. We have just finished a motorbike trip of Europe, visiting several countries and staying in a total of 12, 4 and five star hotels. This one I won't forget in a... More

We stayed at the Golden Well Hotel for four days during May of 2015. This is a serene and elegant boutique hotel, which is conveniently located near the Castle in the Old Town. We had a lovely and historic room ( deluxe Room 12) overlooking the city. The staff was gracious and efficient, providing us with a knowledgeable and entertaining... More

Our stay at the Golden Well was just wonderful. We stayed in room 12 (a deluxe room) which had a view of the lane leading up to the hotel and of the courtyard, but no city view. The lack of city view was not a negative for us as the room was very quiet, bed was incredibly comfortable, the room... More

After reading Tripadvisor, my expectations were set very high and I was afraid I might be disappointed. I am used to staying in very nice hotels, but the Golden Well far exceeded my expectations. We were coming off a Viking Cruise and we had the driver pick us up at the Hilton in his E350 Mercedes, he was even early.... More

Pros: Nice staff Clean room Bedtime treat left on night stand Comfortable bed The Golden Well is a nice hotel but doesn't measure up to the reviews and accolades which I read on Trip Advisor. There are many 5 star hotels which include free breakfast, free airport transport, etc. and cost considerably less. I was looking for a special hotel... More

What an experience! We were blown away by the welcome drink/patio view combo upon arrival. Ivan and the other staff were friendly. The room was clean and spacious with a large bathroom. The views are of course amazing from your room or any of the decks. There is a private entrance into the Prague Castle. The location was perfect. The... More

This is probably the best hotel we've stayed at in Europe so far. We stayed in the Rudolf II suite. We just can't say enough about the room and the staff. The views from the room were to die for and the rooms were incredibly clean, particularly the tub/shower, and no smells. I don't normally do turn down service, but... More

    Staying in Hradcany & Letna

    Neighborhood Profile
    Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
