The best thing I liked about the hotel was it's convenient location right on Wenceslas square surrounded by restaurants, shops & casinos & very close to the Metro. The hotel staff was nice enough & our apartment was pretty spacious & very quiet at night inspite of it's location. My only complaint was that the cleaning staff didn't do a... More

The staff here was very helpful for our large family group...15 folks in six rooms and all of comfortably accommodated. The breakfast was very nice and our rooms, great. We were lucky to be there during a cool spell and didn't miss AC at all.

Just returned from a 4 day vacation to Prague. First time ever, not sure what to expect and I was pleasently surprised. To start, we stayed at the Elysee Hotel in Wenceslas Sq in the center of Prague. The hotel entrance is oddly situated in a small shopping/ restaurant arcade. It is efficiently and friendly run, the staff couldn't do... More

Visitors who prefer to stay at the busiest boulevard of Prague, with its countless exchange offices, Czech restaurants, souvenir shops, sausage booths, gold and jewelry shops, casinos, Thai massage salons, and slowly moving streams of tourists, day and night, may consider the Elysee hotel. Located in the upper floors of a backhouse, it is reached via a busy passage. It... More

I have rated this hotel a four star because of the excellent staff (namely Adele ) at reception rather than the actual hotel. The room (I was kindly given a larger room as the first I complained about as it was so small) was booked for me by an agent. I found out on trip advisor before arriving it had... More

Clean, good value, polite and efficient. In the centre of the city near all facilities. Very good breakfast but no bar or restaurant. Take soft soled shoes as nearly all the roads are cobbled. The prices of food and drink about 50% of UK prices.

Breakfast was outstanding! Staff are friendly and made every effort to make us comfortable. Our primary contact was Lenka. Her English was excellent and she made it clear that she is proud of the property and was very invested in our comfort. All of the staff were friendly and professional. I look forward to returning. Go to Prague! Stay here!... More

Nice, light and clean rooms. Friendly stuff. Breakfast buffet sufficient, not excellent. Ideal locatet 10 minutes away from central railway station (by foot) and 5 to 15 minutes to walk to most of the famous places in the historic center. For the moderate price more than satisfying quality at this central location.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
