because we couldn't find any other affordable hostel, we bookes here. it was aweful! 1 point is for the location because it's close to the observation tower, which many people call "prague's eiffel tower". you can also walk from the tower downhil to the castle. the hostel itself: we didn't get any information from the recpetion at all, they didn't... It´s a part of university campus. Last year, one building has been changed onto a hostel, where stay only hostel guests and students who pay extra to have single room for studying. So there is no chance to experience wild parties at the corridor. There is a doorman at the entrance and hostel is really almost empty and quiet. If... More

Stay away from this hostel. Even though it seems very cheap and not far from the centre, it's literally horlible and there's a chance you will bring bedbugs home from there! Our room smelt of disinfection and we weren't sure why - the reason was bedbugs. Don't get tricked by the clean-looking bed sheets.

If you plan a city trip to Prague in summer and if you're looking for a cheap place to stay, then Hostel Strahov is the place. A doubleroom for one night will cost you 24 Euro's only. It is up on a hill in the middle of student life. During the semesters it is a residential home for students, but... More

This hostel is under €10 a night, and is an old university. The rooms are tiny, and have a camp bed against each wall which are screwed to the floor. Old stickers are still on the furniture and walls are paper thin-so much so that you can hear conversations in the next room. Bathrooms are shared with one per corridor,... More

Stayed there over New Year 08/09 because it was the cheapest place available at that time. It's located on a campus, where students rent out their dorms when on vaca or home for the holidays. The rooms are simple, run-down and moderately clean. The heating works (although you can't regulate the heat) and the communal bathrooms are okay. It's a... More

Very simple and not clean rooms. You can see the picture. It's the cheapest hostel in Prague. There is no internet, or TV room so there is nothing to do in the evening. You should also know that this is students campus so there is a lot of noise. But there is a good Menza or Restaurant in Strahov -... More

One of a dozen dorms near the stadium that were built during the communist regime. The rooms are battered and spare, but the sheets were clean and their was plenty of hot water and water pressure in the communal bathrooms. Things are going on all around the place, the Central American soccer league played all day Saturday, and celebrated into... More
