I was really pleased with the conditions in the hostel. Everything is clean and neat; and you can adjust, for instance, the heating to your preferences. Breakfast, which was included in the price of the stay, was also really good. The staff were really friendly and helpful. more

I was there with my firends, and we have very nice impression about the place, and consequently about the city. The hostel is nice, stuff isn't annoying. I would say, nothing special, but also no negative remarks couldn't be done. The breakfast could be better, but if you need cup of coffee in the morning, with a sandwich, you'll be... more

I have stayed at hostel U Melounu for 7 nights - it's quite a lot. 4-5 days are fairly enough to see everything that Prague can show. However, I managed to stay glad thanks to hostel u Melounu. It's very close to the metro station (4-5 minutes) and if I wished to, I could have easily get to the Old... more

This hostel is tucked away from the noisy, crowded and dirty Prague city streets, yet it's only a 5 - 10 minute walk from the city center (Muzeum). The fact that the U Melounu is in a 300year old UNESCO protected building adds a charm that I have never experienced in a hostel before. It has a beautiful courtyard to... more

I booked a private double room and was quite happy with it. Very simple & small but clean. Several shared bathrooms down the hall were clean. Breakfast was served in a very charming "cellar", and they have a nice huge outdoor 'patio" in the back of the hostel. The folks manning the front desk very pleasant and helpful. My only... more

I didn't want to give a poor rating as I do think many hostels try hard to please, but this one couldn't be avoided, especially considering the alternatives I will describe. I made my reservation for a "private apartment" via the Internet, locking in for $36US dollars per night. I guess "private apartment" has different definitions. What I got was... more

Myself and 12 other girls stayed at this hostel for 2 nights in October 2008. Wasn't quite sure what to expect but this place was so cute! Not your conventional hostel, there is a lovely garden/courtyard that all rooms open on to, which I imagine would be lovely in summer. Only 5 mins walk from IP Pavlova metro station, and... more

This hostel was very nice. This was my first time in a hostel, and I was very impressed. The rooms were large (we paid for 4 beds in a 4 bed-room, so my husband and I had plenty of room), the breakfast area was very nice, and internet connection was free. Laundry facilities are on site, and a common kitchen... more

I had read a review that said this hostel was cold and so took my sleeping bag with me. However, our room was particularly hot as the radiator was on all night but I was still glad of my sleeping bag as the duvet was fairly small. This is a lovely place to stay and I think it's a nice... more

I have to say, that of all the places I have visited in the World, Prague is right up there with the very best of them! One of the most beatiful, visually appealing impressive architectural towns I have visited, the city's magical appeal extends from the fantastic views from Petrin Hill, to looking up at the castle whilst standing on... more
