A more delightful place to stay I cannot imagine. It's the quiet side of the river and within easy reach of Charles Bridge for the other side. It has very good restaurants nearby as well as countryside alongside the Castle and overlooks a park. Family-run, comfortable and a most pleasant experience. For my needs I would look no further.

Situation perfect, pension calm, clean and comfortable. If you need shiny new bathrooms and wifi in all corners, maybe not the choice for you, but if you value calm and a perfect situation in a beautiful area just five minutes from Charles Bridge and its bustling tourists, this is worth a look. Charming building hidden away behind a discreet door, nice... More

Our room (room #2) was enormous and very comfortable. Three windows overlooking the back garden and park across the canal. Pillows were weird, but comfortable when I got used to them. We ask for extra pillows and got them. Loved the location; close to tram, Charles Bridge, Legii bridge, funicular.

Unfortunately, we've been carried away from the gut critics. The "hotel" turned to be a total dissapoitment. It was dirty with old furniture and it didn't even have a safebox to secure your personal things. Breakfast was really poor.Heating was off the last two days. First time in our travel experience we've payed so much for so little. With the... More

I am so very happy that we chose this pension! The location is a primary reason for me! The 5 minute walk back and forth to the Charles Bridge from this pension is so perfect! It is a neighborhood that one might miss if not staying here and it is so special! Kampa Island is so lovely and such a... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in September. The room although sombre in its decor was very spacious with huge windows. It had a big bathroom with a different bathtub which had a little seat at the end of it and no shower curtain which made it tricky to shower without getting water on the floor. The plumbing worked well... More

Stayed here for a week and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the quality of the pension. Great breakfast and staff was extremely helpful in answering any questions about places to eat or things to do. Enjoyed the free WiFi and the easy access to public transportation. It was only a 5 min walk to the Charles Bridge and there were... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2012. The hotel is clean and the young man at the front desk could not have been more pleasant or helpful. He gave excellent recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants and arranging transportation to the train station. Staff spoke excellent English. The rooms are a bit dated, but were clean. The hotel is in... More

I stayed here for 5 nights in June 2012. The hotel is clean, safe and in a very quiet area. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the Charles Bridge - about a 5 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
