We chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. In terms of location, you cannot possibly do better than this hotel. It is situated right next to the West Tower of the Charles Bridge and therefore perfect for exploring the whole city. This is a beautiful and romantic boutique hotel. Our room was on the... More

My friend and I have just had a great stay at this superb hotel! The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. We felt pampered. Every day the maid left a little treat (chocolates, fruit, biscuits...). They will post your postcards for you, book your shows/concerts and can arrange a taxi to pick you up or take you from and to... More

We stayed here in May and it was incredible. I'm not sure we've had better service from the very minute we contacted them. Whether recommendations for places to go or simply greeting us every time we walked through the lobby, they were always friendly and helpful. This was our 25th anniversary and they even surprised us with a bottle of... More

The hotel is adjacent Charles Bridge and could not be more handily located for all the sights of Prague. We were in the annexe just nearby the main hotel in a very comfortable and spacious room. When we arrived the Martin at the desk was welcoming and informative and took us personally to the annexe to make sure we found... More

Highly recommend this family run hotel, location is superb, right at the beginning of the bridge. Staff is so friendly and very helpful. The best food you'll get is at the hotel restaurant, we dined there on the first two nights but decided to have a change on the last evening which turned out a huge mistake. We stayed in... More

This hotel was the standout on our trip. The front desk staff were always very helpful, and friendly. I never felt like I was imposing on them as you do in some hotels. We were upgraded to a very large room in the main hotel. Both restaurants were excellent - we ate at the main one on our first night... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Pod Vezi and will definitely be back. The experience started with checkin where the young gentlemen at reception explained all the usual hotel things but also useful information on Prague. Our room was a standard double room in Dependence Pod Vezi which is a separate building approx 20 metres away. It was spacious, clean,... More

Stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon and these guys made us feel so welcome and were so helpful that we would definitely stay there again. The staff were helpful in not only booking us transport from the airport to the hotel but also recommending places to see and good nearby restaurants. It is worth staying for dinner at least... More

We stayed at the Pod Vezi in May, 2015. The location was great and centrally located, right at the end of the Charles Bridge. The staff at the reception desk couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I lost my medication on the plane, and they went out of their way to help me get to a Dr. etc. Our... More

We stayed at the Pod Vezi for three nights and had a wonderful experience. First of all, the location can't be beat. It is at the base of the Charles Bridge, which is probably the most desirable location in the city. We had easy access to everything we wanted to see and do right from our front door - no... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
