This hotel is wonderful. Rooms a good size, breakfast is yummy with a good choice of food. It's not far from republics square or old town square even walking. Little market shops nearby. The staff are friendly and gave us maps and tour guides as we checked in.

Stayed 4 nights. We booked a double room and got a suite. King sized bed in one room, two singles and table plus chairs in the other. Comfortable beds, room very clean. Plenty of towels and loads of additional bits such as all toiletries, shoe cleaning sponge, ear buds, nail file etc. We were surprised but very pleased to find... More

I made booking before my visit. On the arrival it turned out that there were no free rooms (nobody informed me in advance) and we were suggested to move into another hotel instead...I was not satisfied with the place we were able to place in.

This was an adorable hotel in the middle of Prague. It was pretty basic, but clean and comfortable. We were on the top floor, and our window was more like a sky light. There was a small lobby bar and a nice breakfast buffet - although using the coffee machine to make coffee with milk resulted in a couple of... More

My family and I recently stayed here and overall found the experience lovely! Short walk to the city centre and easy transportation to the outskirts. The restaurants nearby are affordable and amazing food. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in a very good location, where me and my partner walked to the popular tourist location, the old town. There are lots of restaurants and bars around the area to enjoy also. The rooms had everything you need, some would say basic but when on a city break, you are hardly in your room. The only issue... More

We visited Hotel Praga 1 for three nights. It is a really beautiful hotel that is located in an excellent area near the center of Prague. You can easily visit the Old Town Square and the main shopping streets. We explored the entire city on foot so we did not have to use the public transport. Also the beds were... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
