They told us they didn't have our room and we were going to a sister hotel nearby. I explained how the other hotel was further out of town, and they just gave me the dead eye. I told them it was their mistake and to put me up in the Marriott across the street. Haha, sir, that is too expensive.... More

After reading the reviews on this site, I decided to take a chance on booking this hotel as many of the reviewers had many great things to say. I give a word of warning as this hotel has caused a bit of trouble before I even arrived. After making my reservation I was informed by the hotel that they had... More

Stayed here recently, haven't 1 bad thing to say. Hotel was lovely and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely and big and warm. Wasn't expecting much for what I paid for it but was very pleasantly surprised. A lovely place to stay walking distance to all sights.

I have traveled all over the world but I have never written a hotel review before. After staying at the Hotel Praga 1 in Prague, my wife and I decided to write one. Our experience at this hotel was simply perfect. From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. This hotel is modern, clean, and in a... More

Lovely staff (breakfast lady was a bit scary if you weren't in 15 minutes before breakfast 'finished' and older man on night reception could be a little off),but apart from that this is an amazing hotel. Daytime reception staff would bend over backwards to help, we requested a room on the upper floors and they were unable to accommodate on... More

We stayed at this hotel for a three night break and feel it was good value. However although the room was spacious some minor items needed attention and there was a "drains" smell on our floor (2nd) and sometimes in the room itself.Breakfast was good and the location central but quiet.

This hotel was conveniently located with a 10 minutes walk to the centre of town, and to most attractions. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful, professional, recommended local restaurants, and answered all our questions. I would recommend this hotel to visitors to Prague.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our visit to Prague. The staff were friendly enough but the room left a bit to be desired. It was a big room but the bathroom was quite small and the shower cubicle was very small!! It also wasn't the cleanest with hairs on the sink etc. If we visit Prague again, I... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
