The hotel location is good but the rooms are old and ok. To go the room is a bad experience. You have to open a gate from the street with a key, if you are lucky then you have to take stairs to an small elevator then walk in a dark alley to reach your room. The lights are on... More

Located in the Mala Strana district with plenty of restaurants, in a fairly quiet courtyard. We were allocated a somewhat dingy 'deluxe' room (no. 132) in an annexe of the building. Two beds pushed together with a third, unmade bed in the corner, rather 'tired' furnishings and an unpleasant musty smell. Not impressed! However, the desk staff were extremely helpful... More

Really good location with just 5 mins walk to Charles Bridge and short walk to local amenities. 15 mins walk from castle so just perfect. staff so friendly and helpful. bedrooms clean and well equipped, with decent size rooms. Breakfast was okay, nothing too extravagant. great experience. we would stay there again!

On the face a nice hotel, I was impressed when we first arrived we were put into the annexe off the courtyard, the room although very spacious had an odd musty smell to it & was extremely dark, also you can hear the souvenir shop's music next door it's not a big deal as we were out during the day,... We had four excellent nights at Hotel Waldstein with my parents. We had a family room for four people which turned out to have a separate bedroom for my parents. The staff, especially Adam & Therese, were exceptionally helpful and delightful. We arranged a late check out so that we could rest before going to the airport. The room was... More

The hotel was excellent value. Myself and 3 girlfriends stayed in a two bedroom family room for 2 nights. 4 huge single beds and bags of room. The shower temperature could have been more consistent but that wasn't too much of a problem. The breakfast was wonderful, excellent selection of fresh foods. Hot and cold! The staff were super friendly... More

We stayed in the hotel for three nights. I can honestly say, it was one of the most enjoyable visits I've had in a long time! The rooms were cheap and clean. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us! (Adam was ace!!). I highly recommend it!!

Overall we thought the Waldstein warranted a 5 star review. We only stayed 1 night as we were going to Karlovy Vary the next day. We arrived late at night and received a warm and friendly welcome and a complimentary bottle of wine - a lovely touch. The room was a good size and had great character being fitted out... More

We stayed at the Waldstein in early May 2014. The hotel was clean and the staffs were very helpful. The buffet breakfast was all and more than you'd need, ranging from a tea or coffee to a choice of cooked eggs and bacon, cereals, fruit and a choice of different breads - all included. The exchange rate offered by the... More

When we got off the plane we got the 119 bus and then tube on the green line to Malostranke, then you follow the Valdesjnska road all the way round to the hotel that is tucked away! I got this info from a previous review and was easy to follow even in at night time. We only paid 32 Krony... More
