I have been in this hotel already once last year and I can just recommend it. All sights are in walking distance, price was fair and breakfast buffet rich. The only problem was to find parking place as the hotel is in the historical zone. more

This was our third stay at Waldstein, the two previous ones being in 2004 and 2007. The first time it was quite lovely, with good service from a caring staff. On the second visit (shortly after the hotel was acquired by AVE Travel, I believe) it had gone downhill a bit, but was still quite nice. This third time was... more

I don't know where other people have stayed who've provided reviews but is it the same hotel? Unwelcoming staff, room was barren - not even a picture on the wall. Sofabed was rockhard & uncomfortable. Room even had cobwebs. Hot breakfast - scrambled eggs & green beans or mixed veg! Nothing like images on the web. Should be a 2*... more

My 5 friends and I stayed at the Waldstein Hotel 23-26 October 2009. We liked the traditional look of it and we were not disappointed. The rooms were more like apartments with traditional old wooden furniture. The room was very well heated and very clean and the maid came in every day . It is located a few minutes walk... more

Waldstein is a 14th Century Gem nestling very close to the castle and Charles Bridge and close to tram and metro. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean, and are well modernised whilst using period furniture. Breakfast - a superb range of hot and cold food available buffet style - is served in the basement with its arched roofs and... more

We loved this hotel, it was not "holiday inn", meaning uniform, but full of character and charm. The room we had (no. 22) had a lovely wooden painted ceiling big wooden headboards and wardrobe. The bathroom was across your own very tiny entrance hall. Unlike chain hotels you knew you were in a special place. The room was clean and... more

We have visited Prague many times but had never stayed on the Castle side of the river, so seeing the location of the Waldstein we decided to give it a try for a long weekend at the end of August. The hotel in general was very clean, in a lovely location nestled beneath the Castle, close to both trams and... more

The hotel is safe and clean. The room where we stayed was like a little apartment everything was very clean and roomy. The breakfast is very good also and the hotel's location is perfect. For the money, I think this is one of the best options in Prague, I will go back without a doubt. more

Nice and cozy place to stay, well-located in the middle of everything. We had two rooms for six nights. Breakfast OK. The place feels very safe and secure, there is a coded safe in the room, and parking for the car just outside the frontdoor. Quiet hotel off the main streets. Good value for the money. more
