Nice location, close to my favorite church Vita. Parking available directly near hotel. We rented apartment in the internal court yard. The appartment seems to be restored from ancient elite appartment of Prague - and it is very picturesque.

We stayed at this hotel during Christmas week. It is excellent location for almost anything you want to do in Prague. Located in Mala Strana, it is only 5 minutes walk to Charles Bridge and just a few minute walk from metro stop. Breakfast was included in room price and it was excellent, a lot of choices.

We booked this hotel on a friends recommendation. This is a very good hotel that starts your magical visit to Prague, and the christmas market. The staff from the receptionists to the cleaners were very friendly and helpful. the hotel was as described old world but very clean and comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to every one who would... More

Fantastic location, number 22 tram goes right up to the castle or into the main square. The only real negatives are the bed, we had the deluxe apartment and the bed was fairly hard.. But was made of two single beds pushed together and therefore made it impossible for snuggling as it had wooden bars running down the middle, the... More

The location was amazing, only a ten minute walk from the castle and you could see the castle from our bedroom window. The room was full of character and very spacious. The building was also very attractive and the location was lovely and quiet, and only a 5 minute walk away from lots of amenities. Also only a 10 minute... More

To me there was something melancholic about this hotel. Maybe it was the antique furniture or the old building. Nothing to worry about though - the staff was exceptionally helpful, the bed was comfortable, the wifi good. The room was inside a quiet courtyard. Excellent location close to the Castle. Overall excellent value. I would definitely stay here again -... More

The Waldstein turned out to be a charming very old building full of antiques- creaks and groans were common- from the furniture, not us! We had a family 2 room suite which was quite adequate. Modern cons included a tv in each room, safe, fridge and tea/coffee facilities. There was plenty of space in wardrobes and drawers etc . The... More

I booked a family room for myself, my two adult daughters and my 10 year old son. We were thrilled with our suite of two large bedrooms and two bathrooms. Hotel was charming and a brilliant location at the foot of Prague Castle. The breakfast buffet far exceeded our expectations in terms of both quality and choice. Staff were lovely... More

Efficient and helpful reception staff, excellent breakfast. Our room was in a separate courtyard; up steps, and our front door shared between two rooms. In addition to a spacious lounge, we had a good sized bedroom, and a washroom with shower. Good central heating, readily adjustable. Would certainly come here again, especially if we can have room 312.

Great location, below the Castle and 5 minutes walk from the Charles bridge. Room comfy if a little small (avoid room 101) but perfectly adequate. Breakfast good and served from 7-11! No bar or restaurant but plenty close by. No other facilities but good base to explore Prague for the first time.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
