We stayed in room 501-on the top floor. The room had no window to the outside ( only to an interior evacuation space that smelled of rotten food) , no AC and the room temperature was super hot and un-breathable. The staff was also rude when we complained about the problem in our room, simply saying "That's how it it. It... More

We booked our trip to Prague via lastminute.com and we chose this hotel for the location as it was a ten minute walk from the Charles Bridge. The location was the only thing good about staying at this hotel! The room was basic and it did have a cobweb dangling from the ceiling and wasn't once removed, it is an... More

The breakfast was great, at least my daughter and I enjoyed it.Buffet style with cold meats, cheeses, pickled, cereals, etc. - very typical of Central Europe - do not expect a full fry up. I found the front of house gormless to be honest. Never called me back in regards to booking a cab, couldn't arrange soya milk for us... More

Very good breakfast. I think is the one of the best i ever traveled. Good location at 5 minutes of Mala Strana center (St. Nicholas Church) and Charles Bridge. Quiet rooms. Very helpfull staff and if you love beer you have a pub at the base of the hotel. Good beer, cheap prices. Don't choose the last floor rooms. Is... More

The hotel has a great location. It is not in the middle of attractions, which keeps you away from noises and crowds; but it is close to the river and Charles Bridge, with walking distance. During our three-night stay, we have encountered a couple of times that the keycard did not work. Also, our room has a clogged sink...well, it... More

We stayed at hotel William for a couple of days, and were very pleased with the location. It's just a couple of minutes in walking distance from the Charles Bridge, so it's very close to the center of the city. The room was average and perfectly fine for the price we paid, and so was the breakfast. Although the room... More

While the location for the price is good, and the breakfast quite decent, the noise from the street makes sleeping quite difficult. In addition, we have stayed at several 2 and 3 star hotels in Europe and most now provide fans for the rooms when the weather becomes quite hot. Hotel William does not have fans. If you shut the... I got here for about 50eur/night, which is great for the location. The staff were very friendly and the room was good. One complaint is that the traffic outside got a bit loud, and breakfast was rather mediocre, however overall when you factor in the price, and if you're not a light sleeper, it's excellent value.

Hotel is located just a five minute walk from the Charles bridge. I have never take any public transport on our visit. Rooms are small, but very clean and tidy, the staff is very helpful. The breakfast was very impressive everything there for a full English plus continental and more. The decoration of the breakfast room was also very extraordinary... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
