Hotel is small in size, but big in quality and service. Located near the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, it's in a prime location. But it's set off far enough to avoid large crowds and traffic. Everything is in easy walking distance. The complimentary breakfast is OUTSTANDING! Check it out. We loved it!!!

Attentive personnel, spacious and clean rooms, a real "vintage design" concept in every corner, big bathrooms with slippers, bathrobes and Yves Rocher shampoos, shower gels, etc. The air conditioning is at its optimal level; not too hot, not too cold. Wi-fi is free and working properly everywhere in the hotel. Breakfast is good. And the location is perfect with 7-10... More

Was meant to write a review but never got round to - stayed here in Sept 2009 (6 years ago) when I treated my Dad to a trip to Prague. Located at the top of the hill and near the palace, the hotel is on the non-touristy side of Charles Bridge. Love the hotel room design. Free afternoon tea every... More

Nice quite place in the heart of Prague. One hand distance to Charle's Bridge and Prague Castle the same time very quite, hidden between small narrow streets. Service is wonderful and very a attentive. Rooms are perfectly designed, it is not a regular hotel interior. I have stayed 3 nights and enjoyed so much. Thanks to owners and staff.

There was not the normal 'hotel' atmosphere you normally get when you're on a holiday. It felt really like a home away from home, the staff was very friendly and helpfull, every room was different and quirky, and very spacious. You have a free dvd library, a free afternoon tea and cake time, and the best breakfast buffet i've ever... More

Stayed 4 nights at the end of April in one of the good sized suites. Plenty of room and a good view over the rooftops and up to the castle. Windows could be opened fully. The living area and bedroom each had separate TV's (Sky News UK available). Bathroom spacious but shower area lacked any shelf to set things on. 60s... More

We spent four nights at the Sax in March. The room was large, well-furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was good, staff friendly and helpful. Location excellent, near the castle and round the corner form some good restaurants.

I would recommend all my friends to stay at the hotel Sax. What I liked the the most was the amazing decoration, bright, sixties & seventies wonders. The place was welcoming and the staff friendly. Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
