We stayed for a couple of nights at the Archibald at the Charles Bridge. The hotel is in an excellent quiet location, halfway between the Town Square and the Castle right by the Charles Bridge. We had a double room just off the courtyard overlooking the river. It was not huge but was spotlessly clean with all the amenities you... More

We stayed 3 nights at Archibald at Charles Bridge. It is a lovely hotel, located on a charming cobblestone street with trees and benches lining the center. There are plenty of sidewalk cafes along the street, but it is also within very easy walking distance of many others. The Room: We had a superior double room on the 4th floor.... More

I really loved this hotel. Our room was in the courtyard. We had plenty of space in our room, and the high ceilings made it feel even larger. Location off of the Charles Bridge was great... Close to everything but in a quiet area. Staff was nice and free breakfast in the morning was great. Only slight complaint was our... More

This hotel was really nice. we had some court yard rooms which were very nice. They were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel is right near the Charles Bridge which is central for getting around Prague and very interesting with all the little stalls along the bridge, lots to see and do on here. The staff at the... Booked this hotel after many hours of research and after reading great reviews. It was a fabulous choice! Small and friendly, set in a quiet square right by Charles Bridge. We had a room on the 3rd floor (room 11) which had a lovely view of the river and the bridge. Spacious room with sofa, comfortable bed and good shower.... More

Great place to stay just off Charles bridge, rooms clean and tidy, restaurant is good. Only real issue was slippery bath, bring your own slip mat. H & S almost non existent in Czech Republic. Breakfast is Czech style and not to all taste, take your own cereal if you are fussy.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
