we stay in this nice clean hotel for 3 days, nice hot buffet breakfast included. It located in the border of Old Town area but connected to any part of Prague with public transportation, even convenience to airport.

good service and well located, it is a very convenient place and easy access to all public transportation, including subway (called florec here), tramway, bus and train. although the hotel is old, it is currently under constructions so it will sure be better soon.

By far the best rooms we have ever booked. Our room was big with big bathroom and nice hard enough bed. Is very close to the city center even on foot. Outstanding cool people in the night reception. We would defenetly recommend it. Thank you hotel Merkur.

We just returned from Prague and stayed at the Merkur. My only complaint was that we were in room 208 and noise from the street at night was bothersome. Now all of the positives !! Great location , market at end of street. Across the highway is major train stop and there are several tram stops just outside hotel. Several... More

IT is really difficult to meet nice and friendly people in Czech, Prague, but when you come to Hotel Merkur, there is always anyone in excellent mood that makes your day. Service is good, rooms simple but nice and breakfast is delicious. Finally, in few minutes you are in the Old Town

Everything you need is in the near area, and the old town is a 10 minute walk. We (mother and 3 sons) had a good stay in this hotel, the breakfast starts early enough (7) to have a long and wonderful day in Prague. The rooms are clean and the service is friendly, big bonus is the free wifi for... More

This hotel lies not far from the Old Town, 10min walk. Also not far away from the nearest metrostation. There is a highway passing in front of the hotel, so it could be a bit noisy if you have the window open. But if closed you would barely hear anything. Hotel standard is OK. Good beds in my opinion. Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
