We spent three nights in this hotel sited in a good location opposite side of the river to the main attractions of Prague. All within walking distance and not far from the famous Charles Bridge. There were plenty of really good restaurants nearby which were much cheaper than those in the centre. Also close by was the funicular railway which... More

Cant fault this hotel really. Situated near petrin hill, within 3-5 minutes walk to the ujezd tram, shops, chemist and restaurants. Kampa park is within walkin distance as well as the no 7 green line hop off hop on bus. We had the rooms with the kitchenette that can accomodate kids as it has a spare futon double bed. The room... The hotel has a good location, it's within walking distance to the main attractions and tram. Our room was a suite with a kitchenette and extra beds for the children in the living area. The rooms were clean and comfortable but a little worn and the bathroom was very clean. The staff were friendly and willing to help- we were... More

I found the rooms in this hotel to be basic, but roomy and value for money (do not let this put you off, we paid little for this hotel and were impressed with what we got). The entrance and public areas were lovely, the breakfast was full of choice and very filling. Staff very friendly and willing to help. The... More

This place was a great value. We paid $35 a night which included their top notch breakfast buffet. The first room they put us in had no windows, only skylights, and the heater was broken but we changed rooms with no problems. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are old and pretty basic but clean and comfortable. The... More

This was my January visit to Prague and I again booked at Residence Mala Strana. If they had a gym and a pool, I would give them 5 stars. Residence is a boutique hotel right in the middle of the city, accessible to streetcars and metro, rooms are well furnished, clean and wifi works well. Staff was super friendly, nice... More

The hotel was in a great location with many cheap restaurants located nearby. Getting to and from the hotel was easy and around 600CZK in a taxi from the airport. The rooms were large and spacious, and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was great and there was plenty of choice. I would definitely stay in this hotel again as... More

Hotel is situated near all city attractions, but in a very silent street, so you can sleep and rest with pleasure. We used transport only to get from/to airport (tram stop is around the corner). A varied breakfast, but the same every morning. Enough for tourist to start his hard sightseeing day. Clean and spacious room, not luxury, but all... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
