This was my January visit to Prague and I again booked at Residence Mala Strana. If they had a gym and a pool, I would give them 5 stars. Residence is a boutique hotel right in the middle of the city, accessible to streetcars and metro, rooms are well furnished, clean and wifi works well. Staff was super friendly, nice... More

Great location in a quiet street close to the river and Prague's fantastic tram system there are many bars and restaurants close by. The room was a junior suite with a sink, hob, fridge, kitchen utensils and a dining table as well as a double bed, sofa and bathroom with bath and shower, It was warm and clean. The staff... More

The hotel was in a great location with many cheap restaurants located nearby. Getting to and from the hotel was easy and around 600CZK in a taxi from the airport. The rooms were large and spacious, and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was great and there was plenty of choice. I would definitely stay in this hotel again as... More

Hotel is situated near all city attractions, but in a very silent street, so you can sleep and rest with pleasure. We used transport only to get from/to airport (tram stop is around the corner). A varied breakfast, but the same every morning. Enough for tourist to start his hard sightseeing day. Clean and spacious room, not luxury, but all... More

Our room was a suite, with a separate living area and a kitchenette. The room was quiet and clean, just what we needed. There was one afternoon when we couldn't get into the hotel at all for 5 minutes - there was no one at the desk and no one answering the bell, which was a bit annoying. Otherwise, the... More

Excellent hotel. Prague is an awesome city, and this hotel is located at a great neighborhood: near the Charles Bridge, but in a very quiet street. The room is clean and confortable, and the service is overall good for a 3 stars standard. The staff is very helpful and kind. The front desk girl Jana was amazing and guided us... More

The hotel itself was a bit worn down, but the bed was fine and that was the most important. Was positively surprised by the breakfast, which much to offer compared to many other places, I have been. Location was perfect - we could walk to everything!

Went here with a friend and after we had decided to book this Hotel due to the good location in the beautiful and calm Mala Strana area and the low price. Arrived early, but the room was already available :). Good beds, a bit too soft though, but that's just my opinion. Very clean in general! :):) Very good breakfast!

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as a base to explore Prague. As stated in my other city break reviews, I prefer a clean and basic hotel as I prefer to venture out. Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
