My siblings and I stayed in U Krale Karla from the 11th of August to the 14th. There was a crazy heatwave at the time and they gave us a hotel room with no air conditioning and 1 electric fan (for 3 people). When we asked Dana, the lady receptionist, why there was no a.c., she was lazy and rude... More

Beautiful rooms, great location, decent breakfast. Probably the most beautiful hotel room i have ever staid in. Clean rooms, comfy bed, stained glass windows and painted artwork on the ceiling. Room was very spacious. Breakfast was good as anywhere in central europe and much better than a hotel such as hampton inn. But with this said i have been spoiled... More

Me and husband stayed at the hotel for a week in june 2015. A small hotel but very antique and beautiful. We checked in at 11pm, were welcomed with welcome drinks. Staff was very friendly always. Room was spacious, 70s style and very antique. We stayed in Superior room and even that was more like suite. There was shower in the... More

I stayed in hotel U Krale Karla from 13/7/15-17/7/15 and I've never stayed in such luxury before. The rooms are spacious with a unique design, curtains draped at stain glass windows, a huge bed, a sofa, free wifi, a mini bar, a bath and a shower, complimentary toiletries, a complimentary drink on arrival, umbrellas by the door in case you... This hotel takes you back in time but still gives you modern amenities. Very comfortable rooms and a great location right near the palace. The architecture, artwork and decorations were fantastic. Martina on reception provided excellent, friendly and professional service. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great staff but even when they managed to speak English; they speak czech when they don't want you to hear something (rude). Great location. Small, Quite and Antique charm. Breakfast included (good choices). The downside is the tiny shower, the extra fees for tiny soap bars, and amenities left in the room for purchase. If I didn't ask for them... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in early July. I'm so glad we chose this hotel, we stayed in a "standard" room and it was stunningly beautiful with a lovely painted ceiling and pretty stained glass windows - very romantic and definitely the prettiest room I have stayed in for the money. Breakfast was lovely; the choice... More

We stayed at U Krale Karla for our 30th wedding anniversary. They put us in the Junior Suite with its lovely stained glass windows and painted ceiling, and treated us to a complementary bottle of sparkling wine for the occasion. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great (plenty of hot water) and the room was immaculate (and kept... More

We stayed in the hotel from 11 May till 13 May. We had booked a superior double room. I should start with the location. It was just fantastic. 200m from Prague castle and lots and lots of small family run restaurants around the hotel. It's high up on the hill and as you come out of the hotel it's a... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
