We stayed at U Krale Karla for our 30th wedding anniversary. They put us in the Junior Suite with its lovely stained glass windows and painted ceiling, and treated us to a complementary bottle of sparkling wine for the occasion. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great (plenty of hot water) and the room was immaculate (and kept... More

Arrived really late about 11.30 ish at nite. The staff wonderful greeted us with a welcome drink. Hotel stunning decor. Lovely staff, very, very clean. One day I did not go down for breakfast so presumed that they would not clean room however they must have come back later in the day and did so. Very romatic looking hotel ideal... More

We stayed in the hotel from 11 May till 13 May. We had booked a superior double room. I should start with the location. It was just fantastic. 200m from Prague castle and lots and lots of small family run restaurants around the hotel. It's high up on the hill and as you come out of the hotel it's a... More

Just finished 5 days here and it was a lovely stay. Old style hotel with many nice updates including bathroom and elevator. Stain glass windows, among many of the old style items. Great location (we walked everywhere), lovely breakfast included, and very nice staff. In particular, Adela (front desk) helped us discover things we never otherwise would have, including FREE... We really enjoyed our stay at your hotel and the Trip Manager at the front desk was wonderful! The only problem we had was that my wife is handicapped and walks with at cane so when we went on our 2nd excursion to the castle we were unaware that there was no transportation back to the hotel. My poor wife... More

The hotel is absolutely breathtaking as you walk in and see all the antique finishes lined with gold. There is tons of art on the walls and many ceilings have murals. The attention to detail is wonderful. The room was large and the bed was massive. The hotel has thick walls and you feel like you are in a special... More

Nothing but praise for the room - very large one bebroom, location and the excellent staff always willing to assist you - whether change for the taxi or the like. The location is very close to the castle and tram transport and short walk to the old town and things to see.

My partner and I recently stayed at Krale Kala, it was our first visit to Prague and couldn't have been happier with our choice of accommodation. Decent sized rooms, clean, and very nice staff. It's just below the Castle and has a few bars, restaurants and shops nearby but didn't hear any noise whatsoever, it's a 10minute walk to the... More

We liked hotel very much. Small, cozy, colorful. Good breakfasts. Very friendly staff. Located in the heart of Prague but away from the most bustling tourist destinations. From the street overlooking the Mala Strana, very beautiful and green. Double room was on the top floor, the windows looked out onto the wall of the Prague Castle, but at night it... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
