Very beautiful & friendly hotel! 5 min to Grad and Strahov, 10 - Karl's bridge! good breakfast! Large rooms! if you are going to the airport by bus - Dejvichka bus station is about 30 min. of calm walking! but bed is not very comfortable (room 305!).

Excellent on every level, characterful hotel, lovely exposed stone and stained glass windows, large rooms, delicious breakfast and the best location, totally impressed! Staff were absolutely brilliant, Oldriska sorted a small problem out and made us feel very special, Adelaide was also so helpful, all the staff were great! Location wise, the feel of the area is beautiful, steeped in... More

U Krale Karla is a beautiful hotel on a little hill in Mala Strana , near Prague Castle, with large rooms equiped with all you need. The calssic furniture, the painted windows, the curtains in the classic old style are really charming, making you feel like back in time . A romantic destination for couples who paid a visit to... very nice decorated hotel with wooden ceilings (baroque decorated), clean, value for money, just next to the castle of prague and 900 metres walk from Charles bridge, free sppedy wi-fi, super breakfast, friendly/smily staff. The only negative is that the doors are not soundproof and everything that hapens in all floors can be heard but the hotel is just perfect!!!

Dear Guests, thank you for your kind and positive review on our services. I am very happy that you have enjoyed your stay. I would like to add to your comment about the doors that you are correct that hotel U Krale Karla does not dispose with large and heavy soundproofing doors which would not fit into the original portals... The hotel is clean and is very beautiful, thought , i was a prince when I was in my room. BUT... It is in the castle, you have to climb a very sloping hill to get. In first day is ok, past two days have not even want to try to climb. Out of center. Do not think to have... More

What a beautiful design this hotel has. The feeling is medival (stained glass, murals) without getting a dark or old look. The rooms and common area's are very clean. Cleaning staff checks the rooms on a daily base and replace any used towels and cups. Breakfast is excellent and served between 7.30 and 10.30. They vary several elements of the... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my 8 night stay at this hotel. Lovely spacious room, nice breakfast, no issues with WiFi and a very good location. As other reviewers have noted, the hotel has quite an up hill walk from the downtown core. But, in my opinion this location is well worth the hike. At the bottom of the hill is the tram... More

The design of the hotel is awesome and not to mention the location (it is located very close to almost all sights, just a 5-minutes walk from the Prague Castle and 10-minutes walk from Charles Bridge). The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was nice. I wouldn't have wanted to stay somewhere else.

This hotel is a solid 4 star property. I stayed for 8 nights recently and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an intimate hotel. The room was clean and spacious - junior suite room 101. The price was quite reasonable considering what you can pay in Prague for a place of the same caliber. The staff was fantastic.... More

The only obstacle for the choice of this hotel - the continuous road uphill from the Charles Bridge. WiFi is not equally well received at all levels and in all corners of the room. Otherwise, everything is very good and atmospheric.

Dear Guests, thank you for choosing hotel U Krale Karla for you stay in Prague. I am very happy that you overall liked your stay and quality of accommodation. Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
