Good location but honestly they make you expect more than what you actually get. I paid a superior room and it was already small with very tiny windows, so I can't imagine how a standard room is (also it wasn't super cheap). Breakfast is very basic and nothing special. Staff is not very friendly either... I think this hotel shouldnt... More

Stayed here for valentines and had the most beautiful relaxing time here. The staff were lovely and very helpful .We arrived to find that we were given a standard room instead of the deluxe room that we had booked ,this was immediately rectified and we were given the junior suite which was gorgeous with lovely views .breakfast was very good... Highly recommended would use again, close to the castle and other attractions. Some good cheap bars nearby, also some nice restaurants. Being near to the castle will keep you fit for Charles bridge and other historical sights.

We loved staying a the Hotel Golden Star. Our room was beautiful and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great, not a 5 star meal but you could definitely find things you liked. Much better than the other options in Prague. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is up that long hill, but it's kind... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights over Valentine's weekend. We arrived early at 10am, but our room was ready so we were able to check straight in. The room was lovely and clean with beautiful antique features. Best of all was the amazing views that we had. Very romantic and we could see for miles across Prague. It's... More

Had deluxe room no 35 best views from that room or room no 34. Nice big roomy feel to it and had two large windows facing the front and one to the side which had fabulous views looking out over Prague so worth upgrading to deluxe just to enjoy the vista. The hotel itself was quiet due to time of... More

This is a beautiful Hotel,in a fantastic position, near the castle, and close to all the Old City.We have stayed here before, and booked months in advance,to get the two top rooms that we had last time.Sadly, when we arrived and waited behind a person whose booking had been messed up,we found that there was confusion with our booking too. After a long delay we... A very typical baroque mansion in Mala Strana. Ideally located right under the castle and walking distance to Charles Bridge, Strahov Monastery or to St Nicolas church. The rooms are neat and well furnished although a bit dull (lack of decoration). Breakfast is a bit solid and basic, but it will stuff you properly to cope with the winter north... More

It is recommended to travelers with little luggages since it is located on the nearly top of the steep. But I think the location is perfect because it is near to the castle(just 5 mins) and with only min walk you can view the panoramic of Prag (both near Uvoz or the castle). It is walkable to Petrin Hill if... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
