Amaizing place, amazing view. Had a top floor room in June but it was ok due to AC. Restaurant not the best, so explore around and believe what they advice at the reception. Highly recommended if you want to feel very near king! Best quality and very reasonable price

Never mind the hotel........well, for me......the restaurant is one of my favourites. Crispy chicken with a salad is to die for!!! The service is friendly, the food is excellent, and the price is even better. Ooh, I do love going here.

Friendly and very helpful staff, as a single, female traveller it was very important to me that I felt safe and comfortable. This was a perfect base for exploring the city, right in the heart of the historic castle district. I would definitely visit again!

The building is old and that is why we felt we were in the middle of the history of Prague. Excellent location. Prague Castle is just a few meters away and some lovely small streets if you want to go to the Charles Bridge or down town. The staff looked after us superbly from start to finish. Our coming in... We stayed at the Golden Star from 25th to 27th April for a weekend city break. We loved the hotel which is in an absolute perfect location by the walls of Prague Castle. We upgraded to a deluxe room, no 35 on the third floor and had an amazing view over the red roofs and spires of the city. Arriving... More

For location, as others have said, you cannot beat this hotel. Situated on the Nerudova which, in my opinion is one of the most interesting streets in Prague, it is just a stroll down the hill to the Charles Bridge and all that the Old Town offers. A few steps up from the street and the Castle complex, which should... More

We chose to stay near the castle instead of the old town square and that was a good call. You can have the castle grounds to yourself early in the morning or late in the afternoon, and it isn't as raucous as the drinking crowds in the main square. We had a large bed in one room and a pull... More

Other than the bed being made up of a super-king-size frame, with two single mattresses on it, this hotel was the perfect place to stay. We had an amazing view (at the cost of having to walk up the hill to get to the hotel) of all the sights. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was always fresh and tasty.

If you are looking for the top....you have to stay on the top of the hill close to the castle. The taxi driver was saying to me....wow great location! In few steps you can reach the castle, the Charles Bridge and all the monuments. The hotel is in an historical green building, very elegant situation. The rooms are large. I... More

Wonderful location! You're lucky! The hotel is few steps from the castle and few steps from Charles bridge. From here you can visit the city... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
