I stayed in the hotel Golden Star in June 2015 for 2 nights, the location is great, room was cosy and clean with a nice view of Nerudova street. Blanka and Jiri were very helpful and friendly, thank you. Recommended.

My husband and I adored the Golden Star! We were pleasantly surprised at how much we loved it. Just steps from the Prague Castle and many wonderful off the beaten bath restaurants. A ten minute walk to the Charles Bridge and many more restaurants and shops. We did request a room that had AC, which made all the difference from... More

at the time of choosing a hotel, the window views were important to me, I saw some pictures and I though I would have better views, I even wrote an email before arriving to ask if I could see the city from the window but this was just in my dreams... From The window, we could just see the wall... More

We have just returned from a week in this hotel and what a superb location so long as you are able to walk up hills. The staff were very friendly and helpful and great with their local knowledge. We loved having breakfast on the terrace with a lovely view. Room and bathroom was elegant and spotless . We plan to... More

The beds were comfy and the staff were very helpful. There are fans in the room to help on hot days. The restaurant had good food and generally good service. The included breakfast had lots of options and was high quality. Rooms street side can be noisy at night. Rooms stair side on floor 1 and 2 lack privacy since... More

Excellent hotel and location as long as you don't mind walking up the steep hill towards the castle. Room was very good although no air conditioning or safe in the room. Staff very attentive at breakfast with excellent choice. Lovely sitting out on the verandah. A nice touch of having sparkling wine for guests at breakfast!.

This is a wonderful old world place. The rooms a large and comfortable. The bath has a hose rather than overhead shower but there is lots of hot water and fluffy towels. The fantastic thing is the staff who speak perfect English and troubleshoot all kinds of problems. The exchange rate for money is the best. The food in the... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
