Stayed here for 3 days and it was located in the heart of mala strana, right next to the prague castle. Loved its location and its quiet ambience at night. Room was quaint and picturesque and staff was super helpful, respectful and nice. Breakfast was solid and wifi was fast. Price was amazing for what this hotel offers. Would definitely... More

Stayed for 3 nights in March for my wife's 40th birthday. We upgraded to a suite after emailing the hotel. The suite was fantastic, really big with great views. The hotel staff were really helpful and friendly. Our second visit and will def be returning there again. All the restaurants are great near the hotel apart from mistic pizza around... More

Loved the location and hotel itself but staff at check in was not really helpful. I had put in request for early check in due to my flight timings and they still didn't honor that although in their email they did agree to it. Breakfast was ok nothing spectacular. Unfortunately their croissants and pasteries were not fresh at all. They... More

My friend and I stayed for the weekend and were not disappointed. The room we stayed in (14) was absolutely gorgeous, high ceilings, lovely decor, tea / coffee, mini bar (very reasonable), hair dryer, TV, everything you need. The beds were so comfortable and the view down to the city another string to this hotels bow, along with a brilliant... More

The Golden Star is a small hotel nestled under the walls of Prague Castle. It is a 10-15 minute walk down Nerudova Street to the Charles Bridge - far enough away to be quiet but near enough to see the sights. The walk up the hill again is a bit tougher but we loved it. As previous comments the hotel is... More

Excellent hotel. Booked through expedia and excellent value for money. Room and bathroom were a good space and pretty chandelier light fitting! All really nice fittings; marble and gold. Really spotlessly clean. Tea, coffee, fruit teas in room. Breakfast buffet was included and brilliant choice. Excellent location right by the castle, but still quiet hotel! Would definitely stay again and... More

The Golden Star hotel was a great find. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean, warm and with plenty of hot water for the bath tub. The location couldn't be better for exploring this beautiful city on foot. A super breakfast was laid out and all the staff were helpful and friendly without exception. Communication before our stay was always... More

We stayed here for four nights at the end of February and found a lot about this hotel to be perfect. The receptionist who checked us in, and seemed to be there most mornings, was an older lady who seemed a little curt with all of our interactions. She was professional at all times but could have been a little... More

Good location but honestly they make you expect more than what you actually get. I paid a superior room and it was already small with very tiny windows, so I can't imagine how a standard room is (also it wasn't super cheap). Breakfast is very basic and nothing special. Staff is not very friendly either... I think this hotel shouldnt... More

Stayed here for valentines and had the most beautiful relaxing time here. The staff were lovely and very helpful .We arrived to find that we were given a standard room instead of the deluxe room that we had booked ,this was immediately rectified and we were given the junior suite which was gorgeous with lovely views .breakfast was very good... Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
