My husband and I have just returned from Prague where we stayed at The Cloister Hotel. Fantastic hotel, very clean and excellent staff who were very knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is situated a 5 min walk from the old square and was ideal. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable.

This reasonable hotel is very near the Charles Bridge and has lots of eateries, small shops and bars near. There is tea and coffee in lobby 24/7. The whole place is sparkling clean and most of the staff very helpful, especially the girl but cant remember her name. Breakfast is continental but there is sausage, beans and the usual boiled eggs.... More

A lovely hotel in a quiet location which is very central and near the Charles Bridge. They arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport and also to get back to the airport to hire a car. This was all organised very well. The room was clean and pleasant and there was a very good choice of breakfast... More

Very helpful hotel staff online to book cheap taxi from airport to the hotel. On arrival Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful offering to book tours or just giving information about restaurants, tours, sight seeing etc. All staff spoke very good English. The hotel must have been refurbished recently as all carpets were without a blemish, no chips on... More

I was very apprehensive about going to Prague at first, but this hotel and the staff made everything so wonderful during my trip. Adam in particular at the reception desk was extremely helpful with pointing out the tourist attractions in the city. The buffet breakfast boasts a great spread and the rooms are very comfortable! The location is so convenient... More

Really I cannot add much to what other reviewers have said, and what I have put in the headline. The most striking thing about the hotel was the service, they really could not do enough for us. There was a mix-up on the first night so that we and our friends (who left earlier than us) were given the wrong... More

We spent 3 nights here the staff were very helpful, but they forgot to tell us that if you are over 70 travel on the tram is free, you need to have your passport with you to prove your age . The inspector on the tram told us . The hotel is very central for all attractions ,and good restaurants. The... More

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Cloister Inn. Thanks to its convenient location, we were able to visit most of the key attractions on foot. Staff was very helpful with arranging transport to and from the airport, in addition to answering any questions we had. We were also pleasantly surprised by how big our room was and the... More

I was going to write a long glowing review when I read the one from Digby86. He said it all and there's not much more to add. We emailed the hotel beforehand and arranged collection from the airport (600 Koruna). The exchange rates meant it was cheaper to pay in Czech currency rather than Euros. The driver arranged collection for... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
