We stayed for four days in the Cloister Inn on our second visit to Prague - the first was in 2004 and we also stayed at this hotel. The hotel looks austere from the outside but the interior is modern and comfortable. Our room was in the annexe which meant it was at the rear but that was not any... More

We stayed here as a couple, with another couple and their 12 yr old. We were given a very warm, polite welcome, all amenities explained (with the exception of the 'welcome' beers in the room fridge, which we didn't drink as have been stung in other hotels by mini-bars with no tariff displayed). Lovely clean room, good size, air-con, spotless... More

A simple hotel inside and out but in a great location in Prague old town. Had to change room on arrival having found an insect in our bed but after a slight Fawlty Towers moment this was not a problem. If you're in the old convent part it is a bit of an internal walk but nothing considering the miles... More

The downside to this place was getting to our room- elevator to second floor, down a hallway, down a ramp then another hallway, down a flight of steps and then into a corner. Sort of a pain to say the least. But the room was good and the staff very cordial. Good air conditioning, nice shower, comfy bed, etc. breakfast... More

Stayed for 3 nights traveling with a friend. Lovely reception staff, our favourites were Adam and Thomas! Very helpful service in general e.g. our bus to Munich was unexpectedly cancelled 2 days before departure, but Adam helped us book tickets through an alternate company which was actually cheaper. Also when I needed a dodgy combination padlock cut off my suitcase,... More

We stayed here for three nights in july 2015. Pros: - Large rooms, - Comfy beds - Good size bathrooms (with hairdryer..shampoo etc.) - Clean - Very close to all the action of central Prague - Breakfast was sufficient, possibly as bit boring after a few days as they didn't change it. - Good free internet in rooms - 2... From making the booking on line and arranging transport to and from the hotel the staff were both friendly and very efficient. The hotel, our room and breakfast were excellent. It was in the perfect location enabling us to walk to all the places we wished to visit. We would certainly recommend this hotel for a visit to Prague without... More

The hotel was fine. Clean room. Small shower, but great water pressure and unlimited hot water. Free beer and water in the frig. Coffee in the reception. Breakfast is good, albeit repetitive. Great location. Minutes from Narodni. Minutes from the Old Town Square. We would stay again. Now some hints about travel to and from Prague 1. Almost everyone speaks... More

A average good hotel. We stayed 3 nights in a room at the ground level and facing the street. Very quiet with windows closed and no problem to sleep. The room was very spacious, clean with very basic decoration. The bathroom was clean and had a good size also. Staff was nice. Good wifi. I expected a very good breakfast... More

From the outside, nothing spectacular. Once inside, Cloister Hotel is modern, extremely clean and comfortable. Very well located, minutes from the metro, river, market, bars and restaurants. Staff very nice and helpful. Wasn't able to connect to WiFi on the 3rd floor, but lobby has adjoining business center, and was more than inviting enough to relax and check through mail.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
