I recently stayed at The City Inn, on a visit to Prague. It is in a convient location, almost built-into the side of a large train station. Upon first sight of the building the exterior didn't exactly look like it had online. We headed in and entered the clunky elevator to ascend to reception on the second floor. The look... More

The hotel beat my expectations far from what I expected; when booking this hotel I was sceptic about the hotel due to the price (you get what you pay), but this hotel completely changed my viewpoint on this. Of course at this price this hotel is a prime location for students; which when we arrived they were students everywhere!. We... More

Prague has it all. It is beautiful, it is manageable and inviting. You don't need a plan because every street is interesting. All you need is a base, somewhere central such as The City Inn. This hotel is not luxurious, it's a plain building. But it's comfortable, practical and convenient and very good value. The rooms are okay, the beds... More

This was my second trip to Prague. Stayed out of town first time. This hotel is close, walking distance, to the centre and all the attractions. Clean and basic, but comfortable and great price. Varied choice for breakfast. Beautiful city would definitely go again and stay at Hotel City Inn.

Location is good. Main railway station is stone's throwaway. Walk down to Namestky Republky. Rooms are nicely kept. Quite small. Specially fourth floor is not ok as there is no window...ofcourse ventilator.

The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the Old Town Square. The room we stayed was good for the value we paid. The building seems to be a bit old, but the rooms might be refurbished. What we mostly enjoyed was the friendly staff at the reception and the breakfast that kept us full till late afternoon. The breakfast... More

The only positive thing was nice staff, all the rest was awful. It's not a hotel, it's a dormitory, with bad smell and so on. We chose it for it position for one night before departure, but we would have better use metro and spend 10 more minutes and haven't stay in such a place!!!

This should not be called a hotel. We arrived late at night to a group of 40 students screaming and shouting outside and throughout the hotel. Tiny lift and stairs up to the 4th floor rooms. The room was very small and did not have proper beds. One was a camp bed and extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom was a wet... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
