We chose The Charles Hotel from The Jet2.com web site for our city break. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was large and comfortable with an interesting decorated ceiling and walls, giving it great character. The bed was extremely comfortable and, whilst the building is obviously very old, a super modern bathroom with all amenities.

Stayed here for three nights in December. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bedroom was large and had a kettle and hairdryer. It was also nice and warm and had a newly refurbished bathroom. Breakfast had a really good selection of food both hot and cold. The hotel was in a great location by the Charles Bridge making... Was here for 4 nights whilst on a city break in Prague. The hotel was excellent, with very helpful staff, clean rooms & an ideal location. Staff were able to order in food for us whilst coming in late at night, overall extremely happy with the experience.

My partner and I spent 3 nights at the Charles while on a City break in Prague. We arrived very late on our first night at around 1am (we did call earlier in the day to make them aware we'd be late) but this was no problem! We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. One lovely lady... More

Great Hotel right where you need to be for access to the castle, charles bridge round the corner and near all tourist attractions. The Hotel room was large, with recently refurbished bathrooms that included hairdryer, kettle in the room with tea and coffee. We stayed on the first floor overlooking the main street and we had no problem sleeping. The... More

Very nice hotel and staff. Breakfast has everything you want. Located near the karlsbridge so you can reach everything important by foot. The underground is about 10 minutes away. But everything was ok and they are very helpful if you have any question

I stayed here with my husband, teenage son and mother. The rooms are basic but beautifully done. The buffet breakfast is also basic but there is plenty of food and it is very nicely laid out. Everything is spotlessly clean and the decor through the whole hotel is most tasteful. The hotel staff are very helpful indeed and really kind... More

located in an historic building, one block from the charles bridge on side street. We had a nice stay here. Samir (manager) was very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were very tall ceiling/beams, cozy. We had a two room corner suite with a great room to relax in and a single bedroom also very nice. Location could not be better... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
