Stayed at the Charles hotel a couple if weeks ago, going to a family wedding in Prague, the hotel is in a great location nice clean and tidy. Good size bathrooms spotlessly clean and for a standard room good in size I had room 108. Reception is small but very helpful especially the evening receptionist he was very good. Breakfast... More

Lovely looking hotel, perfectly located at the Castle side of the Charles Bridge. Beautiful room with antique furniture and painted ceilings. The (free) WiFi was a bit dodgy at times and there wasn't a 'hook' to hang the shower high so taking a quick shower was a little bit of a challenge but apart from that all very good! Extra... More

The hotel was perfect for us in many ways. The location was at the castle side of the Charles Bridge, so we were close to the metro and easily walked to most of the sights around Praque. The hotel staff was so nice, especially the man in the breakfast room. We loved the decor and found our room spacious with... More

A brilliant location right by the Charles Bridge leading into the Old Town. The architecture and surrounding streets were beautiful and full of character. Our room was a generous size and had beautiful traditional decor and features. The bathroom was great and all very clean. The staff were always friendly, helping us to plan routes to places we wanted to... More

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and polite. The location was excellent for access to the Charles Street Bridge and the entire Mala Strana area. My only complaint was the Pizza Restaurant across the street that stayed open late. Staff and or guests tended to congregate direct below our open window, smoking and engaging in "lively" conversation...most annoying if, like... More

I'm not sure how this hotel was rated as 4 star. More likely 2 star. We arrived to a very harsh receptionist. She didn't even look in our eyes or say hello. She simply gave us the form to fill in and then our keys. We arrived in the room couldn't find the kettle so called up reception. She said... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
