we had a family room inside the tower at the Bishops House Hotel. It had a painted rafter ceiling and the kids really loved the sense of history. The Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and the breakfasts were great. The Charles Bridge was right next door and we could have spent all evening wandering along... More

We stayed in Prague for three nights at the Bishops House and the accommodations and staff were excellent. The hotel arranged a dinner cruise for us and it was a wonderful time. We would like to make special mention to Jana. All of the hotel staff were perfect, but Jana really did a nice job for us. The hotel provides... More

1) Great location at the foot of the Charles Bridge. Convenient to everything. Metro at Malastranska is maybe 1/4 mile and the trams are only 100 yards in the other direction. 2) This is my third stay at this hotel (in the past 3 years) and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. The manager Alena and her #2... More

We have just spent 3 nights in Prague at this hotel,,,,,,, entirely satisfied! Its a great location, less than 30m from Charles Bridge with a leisurely and scenic walk across the river, straight into the main centre of a beautiful city. The hotel is very clean, 24hr staffed and secure, with spacious en-suite rooms, comfy beds, well ran, and serviced.... More

the location of this hotel is fabulous and allows for easy access on foot to the whole main city and the castle; the rooms are clean and the staff was very friendly to us; the breakfast is simple, but well organized and plentiful.

You cannot get a better location - the hotel is only a few meters from Charles Bridge yet tucked away so there's no noise. The staff are friendly and do a good job of cleaning your room daily. The breakfast exceeded my expectations by miles as there is a great selection of cold food along with a few pieces of... More

Bishop's House Hotel is part of the Avehotels chain (http://www.avehotels.cz/en/) that, as far as I can tell, has taken over historic buildings in or around the centre of Prague and converted them into boutique hotels ranging from five to three-star accommodation. Over the years, I've stayed in several of them (The Monastery, The Golden Star, the Seifert, and the Theatrino),... More

Our family spent 2 nights in this hotel and we are very satisfied. Only in the evening and in the morning the cry of a peacock came from outside, probably from the nearby gardens of Prague Castle. We really liked the rich breakfast, we are also satisfied with receptionists and housekeeping service. Day between the nights we spent at the... More

My wife and I recently stayed at the Bishop's House and thought it was a terrific hotel. We have stayed in enough European hotels to have some kind of basis of comparison and we found the Bishop's House to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in thus far (mind you, our budget limits us to mid-range, 3... Bishop's House is about a half hour drive from the airport, on a quiet dead-end street. The rooms are small but clean and sufficient, although one of the couples in our group was assigned a corner room which was much larger. Housekeeping is excellent. There is a very nice continental breakfast offered each morning. The location was probably the best... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Bishop's House is located directly in the heart of the historical centre of Prague. It lies only 60 metres from the Charles Bridge, River Vltava, enchanting island of Kampa, and in the vicinity of the Old Square and the Prague Castle. The main hotel building was built in the 16th century and has Empire facade from 1843. The guests can also choose accommodation in a tower of the former seat of the bishop, which was mentioned already in the 13th century. The hotel strives for the continuous improvement of the quality of the accommodation it offers. Thus the majority of the rooms has recently gone through careful reconstruction in order to offer our guests charming and cosy environment. Elaborate combinations of colours, high quality products and a sophisticated choice of furniture contribute to the unique character of the hotel rooms. Some rooms offer an enchanting view of the picturesque Malá Strana (Lesser Side), while others look over a silent little square. The top floor rooms boast magnificent ceilings that bear witness to the long history of this house. The pleasant atmosphere of the hotel patio invites our guests to relax in the summer months. A limited number of parking places is available directly in front of the hotel. You can use free Internet spot in the lobby. ... more   less
