Travelling with a colleague, or hosts had booked this hotel for us on a business trip. We got spacious rooms in the historic part of the hotel, in the medieval part of the building. The rooms had charm and all modern amenities. The breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly The best thing about the hotel is the location... More

Love the service in this hotel. Front desk was incredible- kind, helpfu, went above and beyond to make our stay here excellent. This hotel is close to everything you want to see and experience in Prague but it's tucked away from the noise. This is the place to stay

Excellent location; clean and nice rooms and bathrooms; very good breakfast table; but no air conditioning in the restaurant area (it is HOT & Humid). Also, they have sign that claims no exchange fees, but they charge 2 KC over the market for one dollar!

Had a fantastic stay at Bishop's House! The location could not have been better - right at the end of Charles Bridge yet very quiet. The hotel was basic but spotlessly clean. Lovely staff, especially Marek, who was extremely helpful in recommending and booking a gorgeous restaurant for us and advising us where to go in the evening. Would definitely... More

First of all the location is extraordinarily good, right at the Karelsbrug! As we hadn't visited Prague before, we had no idea the hotel was that perfectly situated. The rooms are modern and clean with air-conditioning. But the biggest plus of the hotel is the service! Michaela and Marek looked after us as if we were their only guests. Dinner... More

This was my 3rd visit to the hotel over a span of 15 years. I loved the hotel originally as it was a small traditional Czech hotel. The hotel has recently been refurbished and now is a beautiful boutique hotel retaining it's traditional charm. More mod cons make it even more comfortable (air conditioning was especially welcome in 30+ temps!)... More

My wife and I were very pleased with our stay. The facility was very modern, super clean, and the staff, especially "Marek" were incredibly friendly, helpful and offered excellent suggestions for dining, sightseeing and entertainment. The stay included a superb hot and cold breakfast every day, which consisted of a number of dishes. The hotel was centrally located within walking... More

This hotel in a private cul-de-sac at the foot of the Charles Bridge is an ideal location to experience the best of what Prague has to offer. It has been recently renovated, the rooms are large, airy and clean. The staff are wonderful. Marek, the lead manager is a delight. He is always smiling, helpful and charming and made our stay memorable.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were very nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good. Staff very pleasant and helpful and the location, right at the end of the Charles Bridge, was perfect. Shopping, Restaurants, Prague Castle, Old Town, all within walking distance AND easy access to public transit. I recommend, especially for a first visit to Prague.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
