Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were very nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good. Staff very pleasant and helpful and the location, right at the end of the Charles Bridge, was perfect. Shopping, Restaurants, Prague Castle, Old Town, all within walking distance AND easy access to public transit. I recommend, especially for a first visit to Prague.

Why do the large "chain" hotels when you can have true luxury in an unbeatable location? Four nights at Bishop's House was wonderful! The rooms are beautiful and spotless. The hotel location could NOT be better. You are literally steps away from the Charles Bridge. True Czech culture is all around in a multitude of restaurants. The service at Bishop's... More

Great location just off the quieter end of Charles bridge. The hotel is within walking distance to most of Prague's major attractions and has the added bonus of being located in a relatively quiet little street. It doesn't look like much from the outside but that just adds to the 'wow' factor when one steps into the hotel itself. The... More

Just returned from staying at Bishop's House and need to report that our stay was simply amazing. The location is second to none, the facilities are great with great rooms, beds and bathrooms. The staff were excellent - we were met by Michaela on arrival who was delightful - this high level of service was consistent through the entire visit.... More

Bishop's house was completely renovated in May 2015. My family (2 adults + 2 kids) were there in July 2015. We stayed in the room in the tower (T4) - the room was excellent (interior of the room, not the view so much but the interior definitely compensated for the view). The kids slept on the convertible sofa but the... More

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. Rooms, lobby, staff and location all were prefect. The biggest bonus is the location, just at the edge of Charles Bridge. The gentleman at Reception when we checked in was so warm and friendly - a true asset to the hotel. Would totally recommend to all.

Newly renovated modern rooms. Very nice staff, especially Mikaela in front desk. In Mala Strana (Lower Town) with many interesting sights and food. Just cross Charles bridge and you're in the Old Town.

I met with my other two sisters at this lovely B&B, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. It is a very well located, right in the center of the old city. The entire place was recently renovated, and it was done with such great taste. Everywhere the hotel was clean and inviting. Breakfasts were fabulous with fresh variety of... More

The Bishop's House Hotel was perfectly located, clean and comfortable. We had a great stay there! Our only complaint was that the two times we asked the staff for recommendations, they either couldn't provide any and/or give us the incorrect direction to those they could. We had hoped that, working for a hotel, that they could provide recommendations and accurate... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
