My partner and I stayed for 3 nights in June/July 15. The hotel is in a great location, 200m from the metro (Museum stop), and a 5-10minute walk to old town. The staff at check in were lovely and very accommodating, and spoke very good english. The room was large and comfortable, with all the standard features (except a safe),... More

Wasn't fancy but you won't even except from this. Location was good, hotel was clean and good basic services like breakfast. I would definetly recommend this when travelling with friends, solo or couple.

Basic room but clean and comfortable. Shower was good and powerful. Staff were friendly. Location is very good, few minutes walk from the main area. Bit tired looking but the price is a good deal for what you get. Went as part of a large stag group

This hotel is tidy with nicely decorated room. Can access to metro and tram within 10 mins walk. But there is no hot pot in the room for making coffee or tea. You need to go down to a common area to get the hot water. There are very limited choice for the breakfast.

• Good location; about 0.4 mile walk to Metro right at Wenceslas Square. Innumerable shops and restaurants in this area; too many American fast food. • Room very small and cramped. Shower stall was tiny and even more cramped than room. Desk for working was fine, but no power outlet for your computer. Only outlet next to the bed. •... More

15 of us stayed here at end of March for a stag-do in 5 rooms of 3. The hotel suited our needs perfectly, cheap and simple! Wisely, they put us on the top two floors, but the elevator worked fine. Everything we needed was in the room - decent beds, decent showers, even free tea! There was a small TV... More

I spent three nights in the Andante hotel for the All Saints holiday weekend and it was a really great choice. The staff are just excellent and so friendly. When I informed them that I was leaving very early in the morning, I was told I had the option of bringing a prepared breakfast with me which I gratefully accepted.... More

I stayed two nights in a room with a double bed. It was large enough for two. Wenceslas "square" was at the far end of the block. You really don't want to stay on Wenceslas Square, with the music and fireworks. There was little traffic on the street itself, but lots on the perpendicular street, so I had to keep... More

We stayed here just one night on a quick trip to Prague. It is an easy walk from the train station and just one long block from the Museum metro stop. Very convenient for seeing everything. The room was economical ($70 US including taxes), clean, fairly spacious, and quiet. The wi-fi was good, TV just OK (older set, with CNN... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
