I like to write this review, because it is apparently still possible to drive a hotel without giving the guest the feeling that they compromise where ever they can. This is a not a 4star hotel this is an honest 4 star hotel. 80,- for a single room, is value for money but they still provide the bits and pieces... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights, our stay was comfortable and pleasant. The hotel is in a quiet tree line street, around a 15 minute walk to old town and the same to the central train station. The staff were courteous and friendly. The room was spacious with a big bathroom compared to many of the hotels... More

I stayed at this hotel for a week in July with a summer school programme and I was really surprised by the high quality of this hotel. The hotel is immaculate throughout and has a real homely feel to it. The staff are friendly and really helpful, they also offer an airport shuttle service which I think is a really... More

I stayed in this hotel only one night. Before I went to sleep in the evening to an extremely hot room I had quite good feeling about the hotel (nice staff, good food) but that feeling changed with a poor quality of bed. The mattress is so hard that I couldn' t sleep at all. I would never go to... More

This is a lovely hotel in Prague within easy (15 min) walking distance to Wenceslas Square and other city sights. It is situated in a quiet residential area but still close to shops and restaurants. The room we had (308) was very clean and nicely furnished with good bathroom facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities, safe and hairdryer were all... More

I’ll try to describe the nightmare I experienced at Hotel Ametyst justly. Firstly, DO NOT stay here, they have bed bugs and don’t take the safety of their visitors seriously. Before I fell asleep, I saw one bug crawling on my comforter. Later I saw more and coming out of the pillows and bed. Upon closer inspection I realized they... More

Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighborhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighborhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
