This was a fantastic hotel that provided us with a great base for our 4 day stay in Prague. We also visited the restaurant a few times for breakfast and dinner, and the dinner food was particularly amazing and so cheap! The staff were very friendly and informative, and the rooms were quite spacious with comfy beds. We would definitely... More

Having booked a two nights stay through Groupon for my other half's Christmas present, the Ametyst is already a great choice for me. The correspondence received when emailing the hotel on various topics a number of times is very efficient. Being someone with a gluten intolerance, they have already ensured me that there are gluten free options for breakfast, after... More

We had 3 nights here in early December when it was unseasonably warm, no heating necessary in the room. Although we had a street side twin, the street wasn't that noisy and we slept well. The beds were very clean if a bit on the small side. Although the room was nice enough, the only thing making it 4 star... More

Very good value for the money we paid! The Ametyst is a very nice and cozy hotel, with a friendly staff who speak well English. Our double room was a nice size, and you adjust the temperature. Everything is very clean and working well. At the end of our stay our receptionist fixed airport transport for us. It's in a... More

The internet connection was also very good. The shower room was supplied with shampoo and soap. Tissues and toilet paper... More

Stayed here for 3 nights to visit Prague & the Christmas Markets. A very clean quiet hotel with friendly staff . We had bed and breakfast. A good choice of food with something for everyone! Well worth a visit and looking forwards to going back to see the wonderful architecture and to learn more of the history!

Stayed here in November on our first visit to Prague. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Our room was a good size and very clean. Breakfast was nice with a good choice. Wenceslas Square was only a 15 min walk way. Excellent place to stay. Would recommend it to anyone.

Rooms are a good size and hotel is clean and staff friendly, the buffet breakfast is good, including sausage, scrambled and boiled eggs, ham, cheese, rolls and different selections of cereals . It is a short distance from the tram stop into town. You can buy hop on hop off 24 hour tram tickets.

Staying in Vinohrady & Vrsovice

Neighborhood Profile
Vinohrady & Vrsovice
Compared to the medieval heart of Prague, this neighborhood standing on former vineyards developed very quickly in the first decades of the 19th century. Today, it is the place where everyone wants to live, and those who do, are proud of it. With its amazing parks, classicist houses, terrace cafés, artsy bars, cozy restaurants, markets, and vintage and trendy shops, it is a home for people from all around the world. This area blends expats, families, bohemian students and Prague’s hip community. It is a great place for breakfast in the morning, the best lunch places and a buzzing night life. After sundown, stroll down to Vršovice, the new center of the hipster, alternative and gay scenes in Prague.
