We were a group of 40 who attended dinner at Hotel Opera. The food was very good. The room we were seated in has a lovely mosaic on the main wall. The staff were very friendly. I would visit again given the opportunity.

Hotel location is perfect: close to the center of Prague (5" walk) and Florenc bus station (2" walk). Hotel is very clean, with good sound isolation. Hotel staff speak English, German and Russian. Good breakfast: hot and cold dishes. Free wifi and entrance in fitness/sauna. Hotel has reserved parking slots next to the building.

This is a fab hotel not too far from the centre.... Room was lovely and comfy and the food was really good especially the meals we had in the restaurant. We would definitely go and stay there again ...

Hotel was spotlessly clean and only 10 minutes walk from Old Town Square. Tram stop immediately outside which was very convenient to get quickly to the riverside and all of the main attractions. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, with a hot option available. A poor supply of bacon and eggs on one out of the 3 days we... More

Superb welcoming by staff at reception. Clear and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. Slow staff in bar at night this was overcompensated by a wonderful meal. Easy to walk to to get to all tourist sites.

This is a very nice hotel within a 10 min walk of the old town and for those who don't want to walk, the tram line is directly outside the hotel. The hotel is also near the a subway stop. The big bonus of this hotel was the bed. It was a big comfortable double bed that I wish I... More

The Opera Hotel is an old hotel that has been updated. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and spacious. The hotel staff was nice and helpful. Guarded parking is about two blocks away. The hotel is only a 15 or 20 minute walk from the center of old Prague. Overall, this was good value for the... More

The hotel was located 2 minutes from the Florenc metro station. From the outside, the hotel stands out with it's pink architecture. Large, yet quaint, the hotel's staff helped us check in to our rooms with no delay. We wouldn't describe them as friendly, but definitely helpful and willing to assist us in almost anything. The rooms were nice and... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
