Stayed here for two days in November. My first impression of this hotel was a standard hotel. Nothing fancy and price wise was a value. Hotel location is near to train station (not the main station), so from main station you have to transfer to another station, just one stop. It's a walking distrance within like 10 minutes (probably 15... More

Clean stripped-down room. No fridge, but wide windowsills outside. Breakfast not to applaud, but Lidl across the street. Highlight being the fitness hall and the swimming hall located in the same building, although with a separate entry fee. Metro and bus station within 100-200 meters.

This is the strangest room I have ever stayed in, no flow. You walk in the room and straight into a wall. Turn right a double bed, left a broom closet with a single bed. Your room key turns power on so when you leave room power is off so no charging cell phones or laptops. Room is clean and... More

Hotel is clean and close to all the action in Prague. But the room we were in was quite disjointed, no sitting area. You walk in and walk straight into a wall turn right there is a double bed, turn left a broom closet with a single bed. Also your room key has to be put in a slot to... More

Thank you for sharing your experience. Our hotel represents a functionalism since it was built in 1932 and this style might seem a bit austere. It is true, that the key cards control the electricity in the room but it is quite common in hotels around the world due to the power saving efforts. Thank you for staying at our... More

Spent three nights in this hotel. The room is clean, quiet, and well spaced. It might sound odd but I really liked the shower a lot because of the very strong water pressure. It is close to the Republika metro station (5 mins), biggest shopping centre in Praha (5 mins) and 10-15 mins walk to the old town square. Good... More

Spotlessly clean hotel throughout....the design which I believe is based on 1930s functionalism is a little sparse for my own personal taste, all chrome and hard angles, but no doubt will appeal to people with better taste than me, I find it a tad soulless....but that's just me. We stayed 4 nights here with no real issues, an extra pillow... More

Thank you very much for your stay at AXA hotel and for your feedback. As for the windows that you mentioned, there are blinds to use that you probably did not notice. We hope that you enjoyed your stay in Prague. We would be very happy to see you again. More

A three-star hotel, renovated and tidy, is on the edge of the city center, close to public transport. The rooms at the front suffer from the noise of public transportation Rooms are spacious and clean but lacks storage places for clothing and equipment have no closets. Shower clean and tidy, with a small place for toiletries and cosmetics. There is... More

Big hotel with clean comfy rooms, near city center, 10 minutes walk away from the main square. Near metro line and tram station. The breakfast was ok, not extraordinary but you can choose from various food. Staff was ok. A very good option for a city break!

Clean big hotel near center of Prague. Rooms have clean, simple and modern interior. Tram stop just at hotel exit. Rooms have a kettle. Personnel is polite. Breakfast is OK. But door soundproofing is not enough: I was in November and asked quiet room so it was OK but in high season it can be a problem because you can... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
