nice hotel with modern architecture. The breakfast is diverse. The rooms are comfortable, spacious enough, but do not have air conditioning, can become too hot. The location is the best part, getting very close to the Municipal House and the Powder Tower.

Ok! The famous AXA. I am going to be very constructive in my comments. First of all we have arrived in the evening and the receptionist at the front desk was really nice. We have however immediately noticed that the temperature was extremely high (35 degrees), so we immediately requested to have a fan in our room. However, the receptionist... More

Thank you for your visit at AXA hotel and your review. It is true that the demand for the fans during your stay was so high that we could not have satisfied every room. Unfortunately, in Prague, it was not possible to purchase additional fans, because they were completely sold out due to the extreme heat that is not common... More

We visited Prague four times and stayed in AXA Hotel in 2003, 2009 and 2015. This time we found that the hotel was highly refurbished since the last time we stayed there in 2009. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was really filling for a 3-star hotel. The personnel at the front desk were really nice and helpful, except for... More

Thank you very much for your stay at AXA hotel and your review. It is very helpful. We deeply apologize for the behaviour of one of our receptionist. It is not acceptable for us as well and we are working on changes. Thank you very much! More

Unfortunately the cons out weight the pros with this one. Yes it is nice, clean, new, comfortable beds, nice shower, good WiFi (we were on level 1), nice selection of foods for breakfast, close to everything you need in Prague, great location. BUT due to the heat we constantly had the windows open so we woke up to screaming children... More

Thank you for your visit at AXA hotel. I would like to respond to your comments. Hotel AXA is in the category of 3-star hotels and it is true that we do have air conditioning. The demand for the fans in the past two weeks was so high that we could not have satisfied every room. Unfortunately, in Prague, it... More

Our room was clean, tidy with a great sound isolation which was important for relaxation after a long day of walking. The room also has a kettle and a variety of tea bags, that was also nice after a long day. Good shower. comfortable bed( however not double or twin, just two beds pushed together). The staff was professional and... More

Very good location, only 6 minuts walk from the mall. Good transportation right at the door or within 150 meters. Nicely recently renovated. The only disedvantage I found is the tiny TV on the wall with no English channel. Dispite this minor note everithing else was perfect, with courteous smily service above all

Good hotel in the standard US blu line like Holiday Inn Express, excellent breakfast for european and US guys. Market in front, bus stop 10 meters, subway 4 minutes. Close to the center town no more 10 minutes walk. Just one big problem in summer time : no air conditioned in the room, suites included! I asked for a fan... More

Thank you very much for your review. It is true that as a 3 star hotel we do not have airconditioning. We hope that you enjoyed your stay in Prague despite the unsually hot weather. Thank you. More

The hotel is in a good location, we walk from and to the main train station, when arrived to and departed from Prague. It is within walking distance (10 mins) to the old Town Square. Hotel clean. Room spacious. Interior and furniture are in a good state. The room could do with a wardrobe or something to unpack clothes into.... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
