We spent few days in Prague for our winter holiday trip. We had decided to stay in AXA hotel due to its location in Prague downtown. The hotel is up to two kilometers, cca 20 minutes on foot from all atractions chosen by us. That was very important because we had planned to visit old town, castle area, etc. so... More

The location was good, but glad we did some research. We brought our own kettle with Tea & Coffee, cups etc. (lidl is close by to buy milk). The room was generally clean but basic.(No wardrobe) Note: TALL PEOPLE BEWARE: if you are 6'5" or taller you might struggle with the beds. The breakfast was a free for all -... More

For a weekend break this hotel was fine; we were a short walk from the centre and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because a) the description said "lounge area" - this turned out to be a TV on the wall above a small table next to a single chair. b)... More

I stayed at Axa in September, was easy to get to as it is located on a main road, our room was spacious, airy with high ceilings. Overall very good, only have 1 tiny criticism, buffet breakfast spread was average, we got the feeling that a few dishes may have been leftovers from the previous night's dinner service since they... This hotel has a very friendly staff, very good breakfast and a perfect location close to historical center. The rooms are comfortable and all parts of the hotel seem to be nice and clean. Pool and fitness center is in the same building.

The hotel was nice and clean and the front desk hapily answered all our questions. We spent three nights in end of october. The breakfast was ok, although the "restaurant" was more like a noisy canteen. The hotel is on walking distance from many of the interesting places to visit and the astronomical clock. Approximate walking time to Prague Castle... More

Axa hotel was fantastic for what we were looking for. It was super clean and so easy to find. The beds were super comfortable. The breakfast was the best breakfast we had in Europe. With loads of different choices. The girls on the front desk was very helpful with all our questions. The hotel is a little bit far from... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
