From the moment we arrived, we were treated like very special guests. The lobby is extremely modern with an open design with inviting sofas to meet friends. The hotel reception staff, especially including manager Dalila supported by Marika and Rebecca, professionally and accurately answered all of our many questions about Prague, nearby restaurants, and transportation. They kindly made reservations for... More

Despite the good reviews, we were surprised to find hotel Josef EXCEEDS our high expectations. The hotel is very modern and unique with its own chic style. The lobby and the bar are beautiful and well designed. The rooms are modern and spacious. Breakfast was the best we've ever had in a hotel. The chef's special dishes were delicious and... More

Hotel Josef is ideally located for exploring Prague. Our room was spacious, comfortable with great value. The included breakfast was as good as I have had in Europe which included hot and cold selections plus made to order omelets, pancakes, French toast or other egg selections. The staff was very helpful. in directing us to the many Prague sights. Hotel... More

This is right in the middle of old town. Great if you want to go out to bars. lokal (great food/beer spot) is just on e end of the street. I did not know until I got there, but Hotel Josef is known for having some of the best breakfast in the city. Added plus. Rooms are small, but expected... More

We - a family of three - visited the hotel in August 2015. Location is great - 5 min walk from the Old Square and most of the attractions; 10 min walk from the train station. Rooms are large and modern, with automatic blinders. Service and staff was excellent -nothing to Complain about! Breakfast is a real treat - with... More

We stayed at the Josef hotel for one night during a too-short visit to Prague. Our hotel room was so luxurious (large room, comfortable bed, very nice/modern shower, and efficient air conditioning) that I would have loved to stay longer. I also found the hotel to be well-located. The train station was about a 20-minute walk away, and I was... More

This is an excellent choice for Prague. From our airport pickup arranged through the concierge to our drop off, all the staff members at Design Hotel Josef were excellent, friendly and courteous. Everyone spoke excellent English. Our room, in the orange house, was quiet and had every thing we needed: water, mini bar, coffee machine, safe, wifi. The staff at... More

Nicely designed reception hall and bedrooms. Extremly clean including windiws. The staff at the reception are very kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet has wide selection of fruit, home bread, jam, cheese, etc You can also order fried eggs, or the daily "dish" at no extra cost.

What a great little hotel! The staff was very helpful, arranging hotel transfer which was billed to our room. The breakfast was top-notch - I am not sure I have ever had a better hotel breakfast. The rooms were adorably decorated and comfortable. The provided toiletries were of good quality. Prague is the most walkable city I have visited, and... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
