Spent 4 nights here in June 2015. Beautiful location at the base of the Charle Bridge. Centrally located to reach all significant sites. Front desk staff could not have been more courteous and helpful especially the early morning the day I left. Not only did they arrange a taxi, but they also gave me a lunch and bottle of water... Very nice-looking building, inside and out, and pleasant accommodating saff. Room and bathroom are fine. Sited at the western foot of the Charles Bridge, with good walking access to both castle and across the river, and across from the front door is the hotel restaurant's terrace dining with excellent food -- the best pear/goat cheese salad anywhere -- and 20%... If you want a chain hotel with air conditioning, this is not the place for you. If you have a sense of adventure and an appreciation of history and local culture, you will be very happy. Much has been said about it being noisy, and at times it was. But some of that "noise" was a band playing in the... More

You think that you have stepped back in time when you enter this tiny hotel and lobby. Outside you are beckoned by pastries freshly baking on a rolled metal rotisserie and the smell is enticing. Inside the desk and lobby are charming and the service is so pleasant. It's run like a hotel 100 years ago -- as far as... More

very nice hotel, perfectly located, but can be loud overnight (we spend the weekend there, was better sunday night). We had room 35 not facing the bridge, but it was still rather loud at night (with windows open). Ear plugs recommended but then you'll get a good night sleep and you'll value the location. Would book it again. Friendly reception... More

This is an old heritage hotel with only 18 rooms, but a perfect location just at the end of the Charles Bridge. Make sure to get a room with a view, it is worth the extra cost. The staff was very nice and attentive and the food in the restaurant was also quite nice (hotel guests get 20% discount at... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was phenomenal (literally steps off the Charles Bridge). There is no A/C which made for some really unpleasant conditions since the temperatures were so hot during our stay. The front desk provided a fan and did their best to ensure we had a pleasant experience. The continental breakfast was great,... More

This is a good hotel in a spectacular location: It is located immediately next to the Charles Bridge, in a charming old building. The quality of the hotel is excellent - in particular taking the reasonable price for a room into account. If I give four instead of five stars, then only because I found that the staff could have... This is a sweet little historic hotel from 1576 in an excellent location. The staff is lovely and puts out a very nice buffet breakfast from their kitchen. Our quaint room had a nice view of the Charles Bridge and the city, but there is no air conditioning in any of the rooms (an issue during the heat wave we... More

This was the highlight of our trip to Europe and we are so happy that we choose this fantastic Hotel in Prague. The location was just ,perfect, could not be better directly next to the Charles Bridge with easy walking distance to the most interesting places. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, ours had a great view over the... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
