I traveled to Prague November 28th for two nights at this hotel. It was selected by my friends based on reading they had done in a Samantha Brown book. The location was absolutely fabulous. Directly next to the Charles Bridge across the river from the old town. The walk across the bridge is about five minutes and I feel well... More

Veeery well located hotel, just at the beginning of the Charles' Bridge. We had a suite, nice and spaceous. Nice staff at the reception, good price for the veeery central location. Wlcome dring small Czech prosecco. Only thing which could be improved is breakfast, which was OK, but not equal to the hotel standard. Otherwise, recommended to take this hotel,... More

I stayed in this hotel from 13th Until 20th Nov 2014 and have just returned. I chose this hotel because of its location and the reviews that I saw about it. I'm so glad that I did because it's situated just a few steps away from the Charles bridge. You literally walk out of the hotel and up a couple... More

The position of the U Tri Pstrosu is unquestionably advantageous for those, like us, visiting Prague for the first time and intending to do the normal tourist stuff. I chose this hotel because, many, many years ago I worked for Liberty Travel in the USA and its sister company, GoGo Tours had an allocation arrangement with the hotel. Indeed it... More

Dear sir, thank you for your review. I am little bit sad, that you had such feelings during your visit in our property. All opinions of our guests are very important for us, let me respond to your complaints: at the beginning of your contribution you have mentioned, that days, when our hotel was comfortable are long gone, but in... Had an atmospheric lunch at the Three Ostriches. Food tasty enough (portions were on the small side; some dishes much nicer than others) but for me the special thing was to sit in this lovely old hotel. Next time I might even spend a night or two, I thought. (Ignore date - was there in April 2012 but option not... More

The positive reviews that I read of this hotel were spot on. It was exactly what I had hoped for. The location is perfect, being right off the Charles Bridge. The bakery down below offered delightful aromas of fresh baked pastries throughout the day. Yes, the noise from the people can be heard from our windows; but it did not... More

This is a very nice older hotel but,,,, I can't emphasize enough what some of the other reviewers have said. This hotel is literally on the Charles bridge. It does not have AC so you'll have the windows open. I thought it would be great to be right on the bridge. We were going in September so I thought the... More

Stayed here last week. Ate by chance at their restaurant which was first class so booked a room. Not disappointed. Comfy bed, excellent breakfast and incredible location virtually on the Charles Bridge! No lift to upper floors but staff very helpful with luggage! Highly recommended?

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
