During my first visit to Prague shortly before the Velvet Revolution in 1989 I immediately felt in love with this magic city, for me truely the most beautiful urban settlement on earth! Imagine your 'nest' at foot of one of its most significant sights, the Charles Bridge. As a yougster in 1989 I only could afford a visit to the... More

Of course, there are hotels in Prague far "better" than U Tri Pstrosu. Then, why I rate it 5 stars? I have been staying at U Tri Pstrosu since I went to Prague for the first time in 1961, and I have been in Prague at least 25 times in my lifetime. I was living in East Berlin and was... More

We stayed there for New Year and despite the hotel location very near Charles bridge and the noise of the crowd celebrating the new year, we did sleep very well all 3 nights thanks to meter thick walls and double/triple glass windows. Waking up with a good mood we enjoyed a superb breakfast complete with omelettes, ham, sausages, etc. All... More

We spent this past Christmas in Prague (December 21 through 28) and had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The arranged pick-up and drop-off at the airport went without a hitch. The rooms were amazing. Clean, comfortable and full of character with beautiful painted ceilings. For us the bed was excellent - nice... More

The location was amazing! The parking is first come - first serve so make sure to get there early to ensure you can find a spot...if you get there late you are in trouble. The breakfast was ok, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The WiFi was not very good would be my only complaint, it really only worked in... More

I traveled to Prague November 28th for two nights at this hotel. It was selected by my friends based on reading they had done in a Samantha Brown book. The location was absolutely fabulous. Directly next to the Charles Bridge across the river from the old town. The walk across the bridge is about five minutes and I feel well... More

Veeery well located hotel, just at the beginning of the Charles' Bridge. We had a suite, nice and spaceous. Nice staff at the reception, good price for the veeery central location. Wlcome dring small Czech prosecco. Only thing which could be improved is breakfast, which was OK, but not equal to the hotel standard. Otherwise, recommended to take this hotel,... More

I stayed in this hotel from 13th Until 20th Nov 2014 and have just returned. I chose this hotel because of its location and the reviews that I saw about it. I'm so glad that I did because it's situated just a few steps away from the Charles bridge. You literally walk out of the hotel and up a couple... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
