It is miraculous that this building, which has seen some dark times, has been transformed with taste and sensitivity into a peaceful, welcoming and civilised hotel. I agree with everyone else that the young staff were always courteous, friendly and helpful, the rooms are huge, the breakfast is fabulous, and there is a lovely attention to detail. It was our... Beautiful hotel in central location. Sense of history throughout as this was a former convent and secret police h/q. Rooms are large with high ceilings and are very comfortable. Staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Got free glass of champagne and room upgrade on arrival which was excellent. Buffet / a la carte breakfast was first class,... More

We spent 3 nights at this lovely boutique hotel in central Prague while celebrating a birthday. It's situated in a quiet street opposite the police station and was convenient for getting about on foot. A warm welcome and a glass of sparkling wine awaited us and check in was speedy and professional. Our double room was enormous, tasteful and spotless.... More

Everything that we experienced about this hotel was wonderful. Excellent service, good pricing, large spacious rooms, wonderful breakfast, helpful courteous staff. Champagne welcome. The hotel arranged an effortless pick up by car service when we arrived, and a drop off back to the airport when we left. Michael, our driver, was a friendly intelligent young man who filled us in... We were very impressed with this hotel. Our room was very big and the service of all the staff was excellent, who recommended some great restaurants. Breakfast was great with a good buffet selection - def try the omelette which was so tasty! Good location -10 mins from square and safe. History of hotel is very interesting - ask the... More

We visited Unitas hotel for a mini honey moon vacation. Perfection is probably the most suitable description for this hotel. The location, 5 minutes walk from the old town. Upon arrival you're welcomed with champaign. The room is extremely clean, full of light and spatious (we did not take the honeymoon suite). The bed is comfortable. And the breakfast is... More

We spent 4 nights here, over the Valentines Day w/e. The Unitas is discreetly tucked away in a quiet side street, yet minutes from the city centre. From the outside, you have little impression of the wonderfully stylish but understated hotel that lies within. Charming and helpful staff, who greeted us with a glass of bubbly at check in. There... We stayed at the Unitas Hotel in October 2014 with two others. Upon arrival, we were served champagne. Our room was huge and the bathroom facilities were great. The staff was outstanding -- both at the front desk with providing assistance and recommendations and especially the wait staff at breakfast. The breakfast was one of the best I have had... More

We have just returned home after a four night stay at the Unitas. It is a great hotel - there is nothing about it that could be improved. All we can say is what has already been said before regarding the friendly and helpful staff, the large, warm and very clean bedrooms, the amazing breakfasts and the perfect position to... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
