Within walking distance of major sites, this hotel made a lovely base for our 4 day city break. Room had all necessary amenities, very comfortable king size bed with separate single duvets. Breakfast great as has been previously stated, though tendency for croissants to run out an hour before breakfast time ends! I would stay here again without a doubt!

Very nice. Across from Police station. Good service. Good breakfast. Walking distance to many attractions. Walking distance to restaurants. Guide met us and took us on a walking tour. Quite, clean and good service at front desk.

This is typical old building surrounding an internal patio. It seems to have been recently renovated. We had a "superior room" looking to the patio. It had a lobby from where you can enter the bathroom (which has a big bathtub) and the very spacious room itself. The room and the whole hotel has very high ceilings. Everything was perfectly clean, the nights... More

My husband and I enjoyed this nice hotel which is in an old convent. The room we had was surprisingly large although the furnishings were a little spare. The desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us great restaurant recommendations and they also booked a half-day tour for us which was fantastic. The breakfast room is really nicely... More

Just back from a 3 night stay with my boyfriend. Myself and my boyfriend are frequent travellers so we're both quite used to staying in different hotels. When looking at the reviews for this hotel they seemed good so I decided to book it as a Christmas gift to him. To be honest I was quite let down. Staff on... More

Dear guest Thank you for taking the time to post this review as constructive feedback is always very welcome. We work hard to deliver a warm and friendly service and indeed recruit our team on these very same principles. Therefore I am most concerned to read of your disappointment with our front desk team and although I am sure your... More

I really loved everything about this hotel. The entire property from the lobby to the breakfast rooms and even the hallways were immaculate. The room we had (210) was a BEAUTIFUL room with a large bathroom, sitting area and bedroom. Lovely high ceilings with beautiful finishes were done in a very understated elegant fashion. Perfectly in keeping with its history... More

Convinient location. Vrey friendly staff. Nice clean spacious rooms. Twin beds are too small. Too much light in the rooms in early morning. Outside street is deserted at night, but perfectly safe. Nice welcome drink. Lobby is vry basic but nice. Every floor has a complementary coffee and tea corner.

I *loved* our stay at Unitas. First, the hotel has so much history -- a former (large) convent that was later used by the Communist secret police, was later returned to the nuns, but then became a hotel when the nuns could not sustain the entire property (the nuns still operate next door and we heard signing coming from Sunday... This hotel is not at the very center of the old town yet perfectly located for its exploration and connects to other attractions. We got tickets to Laterna Magica, no problem, it is less than 5min walk away. We went to the Prague Castle, no problem, tram 22 stop is right there too. From here you can easily walk the... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
