The sun shone brightly though our window as we looked out over Kampa Park and the Vltava River. The room was perfectly sized with English TV, and all the amenities you could need. The shower is efficient in size but the water pressure was refreshing and just the right temperature. Centrally located with on site parking.

The name of the neighbourhood, Lesser Town, may subconsciously put you off but this area has everything going for it. I arrived on a bitterly cold night and found a warm inviting inn with some surreal décor. The hotel is situated on a narrow cobbled street which keeps heavy traffic away leaving a quiet peaceful corner to rest after a... More

We have stayed a number of times and have always been happy with our stay. Excellent customer service, lovely breakfast, great location for the main sites of Prague. Lots of terrific restaurants near by if you don't want to walk to far.

Very handy to reach the centre, tram no 22 stops at the end of the road, or the rest of Kampa island. Quiet location near some very good restaurants. Friendly service, very efficient cleaning staff. Breakfast was brilliant - an amazing array of food. However, if you are spooked out by armour or have "vikingophobia", this is not the place... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a quiet location but still very close to everything Prague has to offer. The staff are very friendly and professional (apart from the miserable lady at breakfast who I am sure thought her face would crack if she smiled). The hotel is warm throughout and... More

We have just returned from 3 nights in Prague and I cannot express how impressed we were with this hotel. The staff are excellent and so accommodating and the facilities are superb. The first sight of the restaurant takes your breath away and transports you back to the middle ages. The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable and the beds... More

We recently stayed at this hotel, the reception staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived early and our rooms were not ready. We had rooms on the third floor and used the small but very efficient lift. Our rooms were clean, tidy and well equipped, the bathrooms are small but adequate, a bath would have been nice to soak... Location of the hotel to the river is so good, you can reach the second bridge from Charles Bridge takes few steps, hotel's atmosphere is peaceful, you can feel the gothic history at it's restaurant. You can pick a larger room to see the river view. Breakfast is not poor like other European countries. That was nice!

A non-descript building in the old town houses Hotel Kampa. We found the reception desk efficient and remarkably helpful. Compliments. The parking lot is spacious and near by. The elevator is a bit cramped (no stop on the first floor, no inner door), but it works flawlessly. Rooms are fine and clean, especially in view of the price paid. A... More

A clean and tidy hotel, situated in a quiet area in the lesser quarter… so no noise at night. The price you pay for this though is that it’s an uneventful walk through a park to the Charles Bridge; I’d opt for a better location next time. The room was well proportioned, although quite stuffy. The double bed had flat... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
