The room was not as advertised. It was much smaller than 17 sq meters and barely accommodated two single beds with no space to open the suitcases; there was no coffee/tea maker in the room; “free toiletries” included just liquid soap dispenser and head/body soap pump in the shower. The toilet bowl was filthy, un-flushed, with residues of previous usage.... More

We love the old world charm. It's convenient and positioned well, and a beautiful place! Very clean, great staff, and great price. Breakfast was DELICIOUS! We walked everywhere... The lift is very basic, it works well! We would recommend this hotel.

A great stay in this hotel. The hotel is a few minutes walk from Charles bridge if cutting through Kampa park which is a lovely walk. The hotel is also a few minutes walk to the castle district. The hotel staff are very welcoming and speak English. The hotel restaurant is an unexpected but enjoyable experience with suits of armour... More

Hotel Kampa – Old Armoury (Stará zbrojnice) is a popular and sought-after four-star hotel right in the centre of the historical part of the capital city of Prague. Ideal for guests who wish to discover the beauty of the Czech capital – a five-minute walk from Charles Bridge and other charming sights. The hotel is situated in a calm location... More

This is a very strange shabby hotel indeed. The "theme" is medieval gothic, so expect lots of naff coats of armour, crossed swords, faux chandeliers (with energy saving bulbs) and childish hand-drawn maps in the communal parts. It feels like some cheap, weird play park for under 7 year olds. The rooms, however, don't continue in this style. They're just... More

+ location + renewed bathroom + clean room + friendly staff + a good variation of breakfast - no air conditioning (it was over 30c degrees outside, so the room was hot) Overall we were really happy with the hotel and would return. :)

Stayed here for a weekend in May. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of wardrobe space. The hotel is situated right next to the park and just across the park is the river where there are a few bars and restaurants and the bridge to take you into... More

I would recommend this hotel for all people, coming with a car. The hotel is situated in the historic centre of Prague and provides a parking place behind the house. The price is reasonable. You will love this calm and beautiful area.

This Hotel is located in a nice and quiet region. Facilities are nice, with reasonable quality furniture and clean. Comforting, and the medieval atmosphere is awesome... The location of this hotel enables visiting the Castle, old bridge and city center by foot.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
