Great location and super staff. Room clean , warm and comfortable. Very good breakfast buffet and all for an excellent price. The staff spoke fluent English and would do anything to help. The building was quaint but unpretentious and down a quiet side street but close to anywhere you wanted to go. We had 4 very comfortable days and loved... More

Historical building in a very convenient location. Walking distance to Charles Bridge and Mala Strana ; well served from public transport. Entrance from a narrow street ; professional and helpful clerks at reception. Good balance between age and level of furniture ; bathroom recently refurbished. Excellent breakfast . Good price on booking. No flood of tourist, mainly small groups.

I am a single traveler and was in the hotel for good 4 nights. Dough the room was fine and I didn't get up early to test their breakfast but overall the place is 10 mins walking distance to charles bridge and 5 mins walk towards the main tramp station where you find good restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The decor was awesome with the knight theme to go along with Prague's medieval history. Cheap for the quality. Very friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is very good. Room was above average. Location is perfect unless you want to be in center of everything. Close walk to Charles Bridge and old city... More

Great, quiet location. Close to all atractions. It was around 5 min walk from Charles Bridge. We had clean, cosy a large room with double VERY comfortable bed. Pillows and duvets are good quality. Bathroom small but clean. It would be nice to have a shelf for toiletries.... Only what I don't liked was funny smell from the drain system... More

The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the Charles bridge. Great location. Close to everything and yet quite. Breakfest is very good and diveres. The rooms are quite and comfortable, and the toilets are clean. The shower's flow isn't the best but it is still a nice shower. The staff is friendly and helpful and they understand English well. I stayed at Kampa Stara for one day. It is a very nice place, clean and comfortable room, good reception, lavish breakfast. Location is also perfect except I got confused about couple of other hotels with name Kampa. Overall very nice place. If I go back to Prague, will definitely stay here.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
