Stayed here in June for 4 days.. great location away from any noise. Clean, smart rooms and good breakfast. Helpful staff... cannot fault it. Location near river means a very pleasant 15 min walk to the bridges and wide choice of restaurants- though a very good one just is opposite the hotel.

BEST WESTERN City Hotel Moran was great value and in a great location. Situation close to metro stations and tram stops that take you anywhere in the city. The staff at reception desk are helpful. However the main issue we had is that the hotel advertises breakfast from 6:30-11am. We discovered on our stay that if you went down to... More

Good, clean and spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is only a 15min walk to centre of the shopping area and sights. If you can't walk to far the subway or tram are close by. If you are walking head for the river and follow it along, can't go wrong

we visited this hotel on a 3 night stay in Prague. Staff were very welcoming and check in simple and quick. The hotel in located about a mile from the old square and a similar distance from Wenceslas square. The tram stops and underground are within very short 100 metes. The rooms are clean and spacious with coffee making and hair... More

The hotel was efficient, the rooms clean and the service excellent. The breakfast was very good except for the availability of the 'hot items' which always seemed in short supply. It was a pleasant 20mins walk into town and could take a small detour via the river promenade which was always excellent. When you combine the value which JET2 holidays bring to... More

We were fortunate to be allocated a room on the second floor with a view over the street intersection. There was not any hustle or bustle and for three days we had the most relaxing time. Breakfast room was clean and offered a variety of dishes, other meals we took outside. We walked along the river and made our way... More

I've read some nasty things about this hotel. I have to say none were true. Breakfast???? Had some many things to choose from, wish i had 2 stomachs!!! Rooms? Spacious and very very clean. Staff? Very polite and helpful. As for the distance from the center? Is 15 mins walking or 5 with tram that is outside, big deal, pfff.... More

We stayed here with friends on a recent visit to Prague. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Staff were attentive and spoke good English. The hotel only does Bed and Breakfast , but that enables you to enjoy the many restaurants in Prague. Breakfast is of good quality with both hot and cold alternatives. Although it is a 20... More

This hotel is quite confortable, the rooms are clean and the price is very reasonable. The only thing that it seems to be close to the Historic Center of Prague but it is far if you plan, or need, to return home more than once a day you will be tired. It's a hotel to leave in the morning and... More

City Hotel Moran is a solid choice for tourists visiting Prague. Its location in the New Town area is not exactly central, but that is more than offset by convenient access to a nearby Metro (subway) station and tram stops. The very tourist-useful #22 tram stop is a 5 minute walk. Rooms are not overly large but are clean and... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
