We went in Prague and found this hotel through a travel agency here in Italy. We found a very kind staff, the hotel is small but very typical, rooms were warm, large, very well appointed in an old fashioned style and very clean. Breakfast was complete and not bad at all, but the position of the hotel was the best... More

We were recommended to go here by our hotel and we were not disappointed. The traditional Czech food was well cooked and presented. Due to the area we felt later in the week that the prices were higher than most but that was still cheap in comparison for the UK. The wine selection was good but not brilliant. The goulash... More

We visited late one evening after taking pics of Prague at night from Prague castle. A menu board advertised a 3 course menu for 10 euros- soup, goulash and dessert. It had a very relaxing ambience, quaint décor with a painted wooden ceiling and service which made you feel at home. The portion sizes and quality was sumptuous for the... More

We stayed a full week at the Red Lion and loved it. The room was both spacious, clean, and simply lovely in the decor. We stayed in the two bedroom which almost felt like a quaint apartment with a great view. The staff was absolutely fantastic ( small note - they are located just a few meters away at the... More

We've had a wonderful few days in Prague. The hotel is brilliantly situated; very close to the castle and loads of small inexpensive restsurants and mini-supermarkets. The room is clean, comfortable and spacious and the breakfast is amazing.

This is a small hotel - 8 rooms - with a public restaurant on the ground floor. The building is circa 15th Century and nicely decorated to the period. All the staff are very conscientious, friendly and helpful, and I must make a special mention of Klaudie and Jirka for their help on our last day. Breakfast consists of a... More

Room in hotel was very clean and spacious and included a fridge. The breakfasts had a lovely selection on breads and cakes plus the usual cereals, cold meats and cooked food.. We found the location of the hotel ideal for the castle and town centre. Prague really is a beautiful city. Must make a special mention of Blanka and Jirka... More

We were out looking for micro breweries but found none, leaving us hungry at a late hour. And then we saw this place. The service is fast and impeccable and the food was definitely worth it. Somewhat expensive but not alot. Worth a visit

This is a really friendly restaurant, handy for Prague Castle. Great food and service at a very reasonable price. Thanks for looking after us so well. Beautiful decor and a lovely ambience. We loved the traditional, home made food. They even gave us a free starter.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
