Stayed in Maximilian Hotel for 5 nights over St Patrick's week. What a hotel, perfect location, fabulous room and service areas and exceptionally brilliant and helpfull staff. The tone was set when we walked through the door, we were greeted with genuine helpfulness and enthusiasm. The breakfast room staff were just super; this hotel has got priorities absolutely spot on... More

The hotel was very well situated being only a five minute walk to both the river and the old town square. Staff were very helpful and friendly and as people have already stated the breakfast was impressive. The goldfish in our room was a nice touch which was very clean and quiet.

I was traveling with my elderly mother to Prague. The staff at the reception and service in the dining room was exceptional. Breakfast was amazing! The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was conveniently located to major attractions of the most beautiful city in the world by far.

I don't usually write reviews but I arrived today and the staff were incredibly welcoming. I booked a weekend away for mine and my other halves anniversary and when we got to the room they had included complimentary bottle of bubbly and strawberries with a personalised welcome note. Lovely touches. Will update as trip goes on!

A very comfortable, stylish hotel. Lots of little extras - complementary afternoon tea, goldfish!, stylish lounges etc. wonderful buffet breakfast with some items cooked to order. A few minutes walk down to the old town square and close to Jewish quarter. Great restaurant behind the church.

Recently did a 3 night stay at this Hotel with my partner. I've done quite a bit of travelling and I have to say this is one of the best I've stayed in. It's the little things that count !!! Such items left in the room to use - travel adopter in room / bottle opener / umbrella thankfully didn't... More

Ok, we weren't thrilled with the rooms. But that's probably just us. The beds were rather hard. The pillows and linens however were fantastic. We found our weekend stay in the black house really loud. Like there must have been a bar near by and during our 3 night stay many of really loud parties were moved outside by the... More

From the pick up at the airport by a private car, to the most friendly front desk & breakfast room staff, to the fantastic breakfast, to the comfy room with all the extras thrown in-this hotel is really-simply the best!! Everyone speaks fantastic English here (all of Prague really). I stayed in the Deluxe King in the Red building overlooking... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
