Maximilian Hotel is not posh; it is just extremely comfortable, responsive to your every need, modern, and wonderfully located, being ~ five minutes or less walk from Staromèstské nàmêste/Old Town Squarel. Access to the fitness center at its sister Hotel Josef just two blocks away was great for me; treadmills, cycles, free weights, and Nautilus lifting station, along with sauna;... More

Where to start! Booked a superior deluxe on the 6th floor. Elevator goes to 5 so a flight of stairs. Hotel arranged for transport to and from airport. One of the most comfortable beds I have experienced in Europe. Booked 2 massages but on arrival only 1 reserved. The hotel made apologies by not charging for the one and sending... More

Wonderful beds! Like sleeping in a cloud. Great personable staff. Breakfast was delicious and nice choices with an Honesty Bar which made visiting with friends comfortable and relaxing for conversation and planning next foray into the city. Neighborhood makes it a trifecta. Relaxing visit.

This is our second time staying here. Great location in old town. Many sites in walking distance. Rooms are small but clean and nice. Staff is helpful and could not be nicer. Breakfast is yummy and plentiful. I would suggest better towels and shower designed so that it does not make bathroom floor wet.

The hotel was a good choice. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The staff are exceptional. The honesty bar just added another convenience. The location was easy for walking around Prague. We would certainly stay here again

We are very picky about hotels and had a hard time choosing one in Prague. Finally, we have settled for Maximilian and loved it. What is really special about this place is its location: about five minutes from the Old Town Square but in a quiet part of the town near good restaurants and the river. The decor of the... More

Located on a cobblestone street, this hotel provided us with a superior stay in Prague. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with the sort of friendliness and courtesy of the staff that you wish to have everywhere. Our room was spacious with comfortable beds, fluffy comforters, clothes hangers you could remove and use easily, a teakettle for... More

Again found from reading tripadvisor. This hotel is fantastic, we just stayed 4 nights. The staff absolutely make it. They cannot do enough for you. This hotel is so well located to everything you need in Prague. You go out of the door turn left, and walk straight, and you in the main old town square in few mins. From... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
