At first the hotel strikes you as a small and dingy place but once inside it offers all the basic amenities that one needs. Located near metro and tram stations the location is good for sight seeing. The hotel is highly recommended for those who look for value for money. Special mention for the breakfast! Would suggest the hotel to... More

Stayed with my mom at this Great hotel. It was walking distans to everything thing you want to visit in Prague. Pleasent breakfast and really comfortable beds. A small minus was that the rooms are quite small.

Perfect place to stay to see the sights and sample Chez hospitality. Elite was just what we were looking for; central location, 10/15 minute walk to main square with shops restaurants nearby. The hotel is not a modern style but retains it's old charm and quirkiness. The bed was comfortable and room clean. As for the staff they were lovely,... More

Staff was good (you have to compare apple to apple so Czech to Czech customer service), breakfast does the job but not more. Unfortunately it is still allowed to smoke in restaurant in CZ and the breakfast room is actually used as a restaurant in the evening. See my point? Room was small but I did travel alone so i... Roy, the reception manager, is not a welcoming person. It is a pitty that such a nice hotel has a smelly restaurant. The personnel is very helpful, particularly the housekeeper and the bar tender. The hotel has organised the taxi that picked us up at the airport. The price was reasonable.

This is a quaint hotel which was once a monastery. Allowances have to be made for the limits of development potential as space is at a premium. It is charming and my wife and I enjoyed our three-day stay. Thomas Cook botched all the arrangements causing major inconvenience to the friend who did the organising. Anna from the hotel was... Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
